That is common for large files. If you press "Try again", it usually resumes from exactly the same spot. Generally tho, I recommend using a download manager in such cases. I can recommend uGet, it's completely open source and is a frontend for wget. Source: over 3 years ago

I've never been enticed by a landing page (yes, datapoint of one). It's either recommendation from source I trust (which has included reddit) and some demo/review available somewhere.
