Basicana features and specs

  • Simple and lightweight analytics
Basicana offers a straightforward, minimalist approach to website analytics, making it easy to understand key metrics without being overwhelmed by complex dashboards or excessive data points.
  • Privacy-friendly
Basicana is designed with privacy in mind, offering a cookie-free and GDPR-compliant analytics solution that respects visitor privacy, which reduces the need for cookie consent banners.
  • Easy setup
The tool is simple to integrate into websites with minimal configuration, typically requiring just a small script snippet to be added to your site, making it accessible even for non-technical users.
  • Fast and lightweight script
The tracking script is very small and lightweight, meaning it has minimal impact on page load times and overall website performance compared to heavier analytics platforms like Google Analytics.
  • Affordable pricing
Basicana offers a cost-effective solution for website analytics, making it an attractive option for small businesses, personal projects, and developers who need basic analytics without a large budget.

Possible disadvantages of Basicana

  • Limited features compared to major platforms
Basicana lacks the advanced features and depth of analysis offered by more established analytics platforms like Google Analytics, such as detailed user flow analysis, advanced segmentation, and conversion funnels.
  • Smaller community and ecosystem
As a smaller and less well-known tool, Basicana has a limited community, fewer tutorials, third-party integrations, and less extensive documentation compared to mainstream analytics solutions.
  • Limited reporting capabilities
The simplicity of the platform means reporting options may be basic, with fewer customization options for generating detailed or tailored reports for specific business needs.
  • Less brand recognition and trust
Being a lesser-known analytics tool, some stakeholders or clients may be less familiar with or trusting of the data compared to industry-standard tools, which could be a concern in professional settings.
  • Potential scalability concerns
For larger websites with high traffic volumes or complex analytics needs, Basicana may not scale as effectively as enterprise-grade analytics platforms that are designed to handle massive datasets and complex use cases.

Basicana's answer:

As a 10+ years of start up founder, I've always struggled to build a great, A Team. Basicana works to address that by helping founders build an A Team in budget. So, I felt the need of creating a tool that is simple, easy-to-use and does the job right.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

We've used node.js, Supabase etc. which are latest technologies to build the first product.
