True Job Fit is a free Chrome extension that scores how well your resume matches LinkedIn jobs and coaches you on exactly what to change before you apply.
Upload your resume once and every LinkedIn job page instantly shows a calibrated match score (0-100), gap coaching with bridge language, ATS keyword analysis, one-click cover letters, and STAR-formatted interview prep.
Unlike web-based tools like Jobscan or Teal, True Job Fit works directly inside LinkedIn. No tab-switching, no copy-pasting into a separate app. Your score, gaps, cover letter, and interview answers appear right on the job page.
You bring your own OpenAI API key. Your data goes directly from your browser to OpenAI. No middleman, no servers, no account with us, no subscription. An active job search costs about $3-5/month paid directly to OpenAI, compared to $20-50/month for competitor subscriptions.
Key features: classification-based scoring that distinguishes direct experience from adjacent skills and genuine gaps. ATS keyword check that names the exact CV bullet to edit and the word to swap. Cover letters in 4 styles and 3 lengths. Interview prep with STAR stories built from your actual projects. Application tracker with score map and CSV export.True Job Fit is a free Chrome extension that scores how well your resume matches LinkedIn jobs and coaches you on exactly what to change before you apply.
True Job Fit
Simplify JobsTrue Job Fit's answer
It's the only job matching tool that works directly inside LinkedIn with full-depth analysis. Competitors either work inline but only do keyword counting (Jobalytics), or offer deep analysis but force you to switch tabs (Jobscan, Teal). True Job Fit does both. It also uses a bring-your-own-API-key model, so there's no subscription and no data sent to third-party servers beyond OpenAI.
True Job Fit's answer
Three reasons: it works inside LinkedIn with zero tab-switching, it costs 95% less than subscription competitors ($3-5/month vs $20-50/month), and it provides honest scoring. Adjacent experience is penalised, not inflated. Overqualification is detected and flagged. Most tools tell you what's missing. True Job Fit tells you what to say instead.
True Job Fit's answer
Active job seekers who use LinkedIn as their primary job board and want to apply smarter, not just more. Particularly useful for experienced professionals where the gap between their experience and a job's language is about wording, not skills.
True Job Fit's answer
Built out of frustration with the job search process. Copying job descriptions into ChatGPT, switching between tabs, paying $30/month for tools that just count keywords. True Job Fit started as a personal tool to score matches directly on LinkedIn and grew into a full job coaching extension.
True Job Fit's answer
Chrome Extension (Manifest V3), vanilla JavaScript with no frameworks, OpenAI GPT-4.1 API. Fully client-side with no backend server.
True Job Fit's answer
True Job Fit launched recently and is growing its user base. Early users are experienced professionals actively searching on LinkedIn.

It is a very tough job market. I have been looking for 11 months myself with zero interviews. And 500+ applications to jobs I am qualified for. The summary of your resume is very dense. Opening it felt like a wall of text, I wanted to immediately close. Have chatgpt rewrite it. Because of ATS resume systems, your resume may be getting screened out. After chatgpt has rewritten it. Throw it into an ATS resume... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
You donโt need a traditional full-time job to get started. Remote internships, freelance projects, and short-term gigs are perfect ways to gain experience and learn on the job. Sites like Simplify.jobs, AngelList Talent (now Wellfound), Hired.com, and r/jobs occasionally post data-related work. You could also cold-message nonprofits or small businesses offering to help them clean up or visualise their data. A lot... - Source: dev.to / 11 months ago
Thanks for the feedback! There is another company https://scale.jobs/ which does what you described. They have a chrome extension which you use to delegate jobs to them on linkedin and they apply for you. It effectively adds an easy apply button to every job. To speed up job applications that you do yourself I would recommend https://simplify.jobs/. Their application autofiller... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Use https://simplify.jobs/. They have a good amount of internships for business majors. If you don't live in a city, would recommend you look at remote internships! You can work in your own home. Source: over 2 years ago
Applying is easy with any automation bot. simplify.jobs worked for me and is free but I heard of a platform that you pay $100/month and it automatically applies to thousands of jobs for you. Forgot what it's called but you can google it. Source: over 2 years ago
