Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Trello and TinyVid.dev.

What's the story behind your product?

TinyVid.dev's answer:

TinyVid is made by M-Social Production, a studio based in Almaty, Kazakhstan (founded 2008). It grew out of a recurring annoyance: getting a video ready for the web usually meant either an FFmpeg command line or an online converter that paywalled the good parts behind a subscription โ€” and then still left you without an easy way to embed the result. TinyVid pairs the conversion with copy-paste embed code and a pay-once price, so "make this video web-ready and put it on my page" is a single tool. Launched in 2026 at tinyvid.dev.

What makes your product unique?

TinyVid.dev's answer:

TinyVid doesn't stop at converting โ€” it hands you copy-paste HTML embed code for the result in three flavours: a standard HTML5 player, a muted autoplay background loop, and a lazy-loaded player. Paired with a pay-once model (no subscription), that's the gap it fills: most online converters either just output a file or lock the useful parts behind a monthly plan. You go from a raw MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM or GIF to a web-ready MP4 or WebM plus ready-to-paste embed code in one step.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

TinyVid.dev's answer:

Web developers, site builders and indie makers who need a video to be web-ready and embeddable โ€” landing-page background loops, hero videos, lazy-loaded players โ€” without hand-writing FFmpeg commands or paying a monthly subscription. It's also handy for content creators, marketers and small-business owners who just want a smaller, self-hostable MP4 or WebM plus the embed snippet.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

TinyVid.dev's answer:

Price and output. TinyVid is pay-once โ€” from $1.99 for files up to 4 GB โ€” instead of a subscription; most online converters start around $12.99/month. Files up to 200 MB are free, with no account and no watermark. On top of the converted file you get copy-paste embed code and modern codecs (H.264, VP9, AV1) that keep files small and Core Web Vitals healthy. An optional Hosted plan ($4.99/mo) stores and serves your videos over a CDN if you'd rather not host them yourself.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

TinyVid.dev's answer:

Next.js, React, TypeScript, PHP, Laravel, PostgreSQL, FFmpeg, Cloudflare R2, PayPal

  1. Trello: Simple, Visual, and Surprisingly Powerful

Trello makes project management feel effortless. Its board-and-card setup is intuitive, letting you organize tasks and track progress with just a glance. The free plan is generous, and Power-Ups add extra muscle when your projects grow. While itโ€™s not loaded with advanced features like some competitors, its simplicity and flexibility make it a go-to tool for teams and individuals alike.

    ๐Ÿ Competitors: Jira
๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Super easy to use|Great for collaboration|Flexible with power-ups
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Limited advanced features|Can get cluttered|Some features locked behind paid plans
  2. A handy tool for planning

Trello excels as a task planning tool, and I appreciate its user-friendly interface, especially when using it on a smartphone. Its mobile app is incredibly convenient, allowing me to stay organized and connected on the go. I appreciate how it streamlines collaboration without unnecessary complexities.

  3. Been using it for over 5 years! Super effective!

Incorporating Trello into my daily workflow has been a game-changer. It is an incredibly intuitive and versatile tool that has significantly boosted my productivity. What I particularly love about Trello is the visual aspect of its interface - the board and card system makes it easy to visualize my tasks and progress. The ability to create different boards for different projects or areas of work helps to keep everything organized and easy to manage. Adding, moving, and categorizing tasks are just a drag-and-drop away, making it straightforward and efficient. The flexibility to customize each card with due dates, labels, checklists, attachments, and even members has been beneficial in tracking the status of various tasks and deadlines.

he collaborative features are another huge plus. Sharing boards and tasks with colleagues, and being able to comment directly on cards, makes team projects and communication a breeze. On the go, I have found the Trello mobile app to be just as user-friendly and functional as the desktop version, allowing me to stay on top of my tasks no matter where I am. Overall, Trello has proved to be an invaluable tool in managing my daily tasks and enhancing productivity. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to streamline their workflow.

The weird thing is that we accepted online-first or even online-only note taking apps. I used to be a huge fan of Trello and later Notion, but their online-first nature ended up getting in the way. Nowadays I just use a very simple system of templated Markdown files.
