What's the story behind your product?

Trails.so's answer

Onboarding new teammates can feel like a never-ending cycle of Loom videos, outdated docs, and back-and-forth Zoom sessions.

We knew there had to be a better way.

Weโ€™re Ryo and Nikโ€”friends and co-founders since our college days. Between 2011 and 2018, we grew TINT (tintup.com) to millions in revenue, thousands of customers, and more than 40 employees. After exiting, we did it again at Topic (usetopic.com), which was acquired in 2021.

Throughout both journeys, the hardest part wasnโ€™t building the productโ€”it was growing a team and getting everyone up to speed. As our headcount doubled, we realized scattered processes and informal training left new hires guessing at critical steps.

Desperate for simple, reliable training docs, we tried every tool on the market โ€” and found them either packed with unnecessary enterprise features or so clunky our teams never used them.

So we made Trails: a simple, polished step-by-step guide builder that helps you create beautiful documentation in minutes.

Give Trails a try and let us know what you think!
