ToolKnit runs every tool 100% inside the user's browser. Files never get uploaded to a server, which means no privacy risk, no waiting on uploads, and no file size caps tied to a server plan. It bundles 35+ tools — PDF, image, video, audio, text, time, and creative utilities — into one consistent UI, all completely free, with no signup, no login, and no daily account limits.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Most online tool sites either upload your files to a server (slow + privacy risk), lock features behind a paywall, or force you to create an account. ToolKnit does none of those. Everything runs locally in the browser using WebAssembly, Canvas, and the Web Audio API, so it stays fast even on large files, works offline after the first load, and never asks for an email. Users get a single clean toolbox instead of 30 different sketchy single-purpose sites.

ToolKnit started from a simple frustration: needing a small thing done — compress a PDF, convert a WebP, count characters in an essay — and ending up on a different ad-heavy, signup-walled site every time, often with files getting uploaded to unknown servers. The goal was to build one fast, clean, privacy-first place that does all of those small jobs in the browser, with no accounts, no uploads, and no premium tier. Every tool added since has followed the same rule: if it can't run client-side, it doesn't ship.
