Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Toggl and CrewDriven.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

CrewDriven's answer:

Three reasons:

  • You pay for what you switch on. Productive.io, Scoro and Bitrix24 price a full bundle whether or not half of it is dead weight for you.
  • It fits 2–25 people. Enterprise PSA tools need an implementation project before they return anything. CrewDriven is useful in the first week.
  • Money is native, not a bolt-on. Payments in any currency normalize to one reporting currency automatically, so P&L, payroll and client profitability come out right without manual conversion — the first thing a spreadsheet gets wrong.

It is also free during the launch period, and the interface ships in both English and Ukrainian.

What makes your product unique?

CrewDriven's answer:

CrewDriven is modular — you never pay for a feature you don't use.

You switch on only the parts you actually run your agency on:

  • Clients, projects, and time tracking
  • Invoicing, payments, and multi-currency P&L
  • Resource planning and capacity
  • Time off, hiring, and document e-signing
  • Client portal and time-tracker integrations

Most agency platforms sell one bundle: you buy all of it, use a third, and keep paying for the rest.

The second difference is scope. Client work, the team doing it, and the money it produces live in one system — so profit per client is something the platform already knows, not something you rebuild in a
spreadsheet at the end of every month.

What's the story behind your product?

CrewDriven's answer:

CrewDriven came out of running an agency, not out of a product plan. Clients lived in one spreadsheet, team rates in another, invoices in a third, and the P&L was rebuilt by hand every month. The simplest question never had a fast answer: are we actually making money on this client?

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

CrewDriven's answer:

Laravel 12 with PostgreSQL, using schema-per-tenant multi-tenancy so each workspace's data is physically separated. The front end is React 18 and TypeScript, styled with Tailwind CSS and built with Vite. Deploys are zero-downtime with automatic rollback on a failed health check.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

CrewDriven's answer:

Currently in the free launch period; customer names will be added as workspaces opt in to be referenced

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

CrewDriven's answer:

Owners and operations leads at small digital agencies of 2–25 people, plus solo freelancers running several clients at once.

Typically service businesses that:

  • Bill hourly, on retainer, or fixed-price
  • Work across currencies and borders
  • Have outgrown spreadsheets but cannot justify an enterprise PSA rollout

Strongest fit in Ukraine and the EU, where invoicing foreign clients in several currencies is routine.
