Funny that this pops up now, yesterday I was looking into using rss2email [1] and migrate all my RSS reading workflow inside mutt. Ultimately I decided against it because I like being able to use a web-app based reader (Tiny Tiny RSS [2]) both on my work computer and my phone for RSS. Hello there! I just set up TinyTinyRSS (https://tt-rss.org/) at home and I'm looking into interesting things to read as well as people/website publishing interesting stuff. This, among the other things, to reduce the daily (doom)scrolling and avoid the recommendation algorithms by social media. So: who or what do you follow via RSS feed, and why? - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
Tiny Tiny RSS is still awesome, twelve years later. It is super-easy to self-host: https://tt-rss.org/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I self-host Tiny Tiny RSS (https://tt-rss.org/). I think it will do everything you want (and more). The web UI is fine, and the Android app is great. It's actively developed, has been around for over a decade (I have been using it since Google Reader shut down) and has been super stable. I guess the only thing it doesn't have that a SaaS offering could do would be some sort of recommendation engine (which I have... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Ttrss (https://tt-rss.org/) self hosted. When Google Reader shut down I switch to feedly for a bit, don't remember now why but for some reason I didn't like it. So I started self hosting my own instance of ttrss and haven't looked back since. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Lastly, consider speeding up your side of the interaction. Try voice-based prompting for a change. Tools like Aqua (voice input for coding) let you dictate prompts faster than typing. It might feel weird talking to your IDE, but many founders swear it makes them 2x faster. Plus, explaining a problem out loud can clarify your own thinking, and clarity is king in prompt-land. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Can this be tweaked somehow to try to reproduce the experience of Aqua Voice? https://withaqua.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Hey HN! Itโs Finn and Jack from Aqua Voice (https://withaqua.com Finn is uber dyslexic and has been using dictation software since sixth grade. For over a decade, heโs been chasing a dream that never quite worked โ using your voice instead of a keyboard. Our last post (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39828686. Weโd love your feedback โ and if youโve got ideas for what voice should do next, letโs hear them. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Hey, this is Finn from Aqua Voice. Today we're releasing Aqua Voice for Desktop (https://withaqua.com). Aqua is a voice-driven text editor that lets you dictate using natural language commands. The desktop experience is the best way to use Aqua yet. It lets you talk easily into any app and comes with: - Custom dictionary: can have up to 800 words/phrases at a time, no pronunciation tuning required. - Context... - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
Nice! Do you think they could be fine-tuned to implement a cool thing like https://withaqua.com/ ? Eg to teach it to do "inline edits" of what you say? - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
