MacWhisper has been around for a while and it says no data leaves your machine. https://goodsnooze.gumroad.com/l/macwhisper. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
I use MacWhisper[1] with local Parakeet models. Itโs got quite a lot of features, I myself only need the dictation. [1] https://goodsnooze.gumroad.com/l/macwhisper. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
For a premium UI around the open-source Whisper core, there's also MacWhisper: https://goodsnooze.gumroad.com/l/macwhisper. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
MacWhisper [0] is a long-running project with a lot more features, what's the main difference, just the price? [0] https://goodsnooze.gumroad.com/l/macwhisper. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Another free tier (but not opensource) recording tool Ive been using is MacWhisper. Does this and more all locally too. Ttrss (https://tt-rss.org/) self hosted. When Google Reader shut down I switch to feedly for a bit, don't remember now why but for some reason I didn't like it. So I started self hosting my own instance of ttrss and haven't looked back since. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
