TimedSubs is a script-first subtitle workflow for creators and small teams who already have a finished script and matching voiceover.

Most subtitle tools start by transcribing the audio and guessing the words again. TimedSubs starts from the approved script instead. It aligns the script to the voiceover, preserves the original wording, flags delivery issues, and exports clean subtitle assets for editing, YouTube upload, or client handoff.

Use it when you need reliable SRT, VTT, SBV, ASS, TXT, JSON, or ZIP exports from a script + audio workflow, especially for long-form videos, faceless YouTube content, courses, voiceover projects, and multilingual subtitle delivery.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing TimedSubs and Hypervector.

What makes your product unique?

TimedSubs's answer

TimedSubs is built for creators who already have a script and voiceover, and need clean, precisely timed subtitle files. Instead of treating subtitles as a rough transcript, it keeps the script as the source of truth, checks timing quality, flags issues, and exports usable subtitle assets like SRT, VTT, SBV, ASS, JSON, and ZIP.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

TimedSubs's answer

Choose TimedSubs when accuracy and workflow matter more than quick auto-transcription. It is especially useful for scripted videos, courses, YouTube content, and voiceover-based projects where you do not want the tool to rewrite your words. The goal is fewer manual fixes, clearer QA, and export files that are ready to use.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

TimedSubs's answer

TimedSubs is for YouTube creators, course creators, educators, podcasters, agencies, and small content teams who produce scripted audio or video and need reliable subtitles without spending hours fixing timing and text errors.

What's the story behind your product?

TimedSubs's answer

TimedSubs came from a simple frustration: AI subtitle tools are fast, but creators still spend too much time correcting wording, timing, and export issues. I wanted a more focused tool that treats subtitles as a finished content asset, not just a transcript.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

TimedSubs's answer

TimedSubs is built with Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Neon Postgres, Drizzle ORM, Better Auth, Cloudflare R2, background workers for audio processing, Resend for email, and Creem for billing.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

TimedSubs's answer

  • Creators and small teams launching video content on YouTube, courses, podcasts, and social platforms
  • Educators and course makers who need accurate subtitle files
  • Agencies handling subtitles and localization for clients
  • Voiceover-based creators who already work from scripts
  • Multilingual content teams that need clean exports like SRT, VTT, ASS, and JSON
