TimeBill is one of the few time tracking and invoicing apps built natively for macOS that works 100% offline. There is no account, no cloud, and no web app. Your clients, projects, tracked time, and invoices stay entirely on your Mac. It combines time tracking, fixed-price projects, cost items, client management, a full invoice Template Editor, and Intelligent Text Polishing (which turns rough work notes into clean, client-ready invoice text) in one focused Mac-native app. Instead of a bloated cloud ERP, it does one thing exceptionally well: turn the hours you actually work into professional PDF invoices that get you paid faster.

It is ideal for people who juggle both hourly and fixed-price work, care about privacy and offline access, and want to go from tracked time to a professional invoice without a heavy, team-oriented ERP. It is intentionally not built for large enterprises or big teams.

What's the story behind your product?

TimeBill was created by Adrian Lohr, an independent developer based in Berlin, out of a problem every freelancer knows: too many worked hours quietly slip away and never make it onto an invoice. Existing tools were either cloud-locked subscription services or clunky spreadsheets, and none felt like a proper, privacy-respecting Mac app. TimeBill was built to close that gap: a fast, offline-first macOS app that makes it effortless to track every billable minute and turn it into a professional invoice, so independent professionals actually get paid for the work they do.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

TimeBill is a native macOS application built with Swift, SwiftData and SwiftUI, designed offline-first so all data is stored locally on the user's Mac. Invoices are generated as native PDFs, and the Intelligent Text Polishing feature runs on-device using apples foundation models, so note processing never leaves the Mac.
