For privacy-conscious practices, Theravo minimizes the data needed for appointment administration, does not require access to the practice's private mailbox, and hosts its core application and database in Germany.

Theravo started from observing the day-to-day administration of a real independent psychotherapy practice.

A surprising amount of time was spent coordinating appointments: answering requests, finding suitable times, confirming appointments, handling cancellations and rescheduling, and keeping track of who should be able to book what.

Existing options often fell into two categories: generic scheduling tools that did not understand therapy-practice workflows, or large practice-management systems that included clinical documentation and many features that were not needed just to organize appointments.

Theravo was built together with an independent psychotherapist to sit between those two extremes: focused appointment management that is flexible enough for real psychotherapy workflows, while remaining simple, privacy-conscious and under the practice's control.
