Questions and Answers

As answered by people managing Tableau and Multiply.cloud.

What's the story behind your product?

Multiply.cloud's answer:

In 2014, we built a custom repricing product for one of our clients at Stratalis, our first startup. By 2017, it had grown to surpass the capabilities of most solutions on the market. Thatโ€™s when we realised its full potential and decided to found Multiply. Today, our omnichannel repricing platform helps hundreds of growing eCommerce vendors to price competitively across all their channels and maximize their sales โ€“ without hurting their margins.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Multiply.cloud's answer:

  • Proven results and loyalty: 95% of users stay with Multiply after switching from another repricer.

  • Superior pricing logic: Instead of oversimplified rules, Multiply uses multivariate algorithms considering nuanced factors like shipping speed, condition, cost structures, etc., to maximize both wins and profits

  • Broad coverage across platforms: Many tools focus primarily on Amazon. Multiply extends across 130+ channels, enabling sellers to dominate all marketplaces with tailored strategies per channel

  • Control and transparency: Sellers get full control over strategies, repricing frequency, margin bounds, and can rely on margin calculations that factor in all costsโ€”commissions, shipping, returns, fulfillment

  • Handsโ€‘on support: Unlike competitors that offer limited selfโ€‘service, Multiply pairs users with account managers, provides custom development support, and delivers roundโ€‘theโ€‘year help

What makes your product unique?

Multiply.cloud's answer:

Multiply is a highly sophisticated, omnichannel repricing solution that:

  • Uses granular, channelโ€‘specific algorithms that account for realโ€‘time competitor pricing, costs (like shipping, fees, returns), product condition, and seller reputation to find the price sweet spotโ€”winning the Buy Box at the highest margin possible .

  • Supports over 130 marketplaces (Amazon, Google Shopping, ManoMano, Fnac, CDiscount, etc.), websites, and comparison platformsโ€”far beyond most competitors

  • Offers full automation with repricing up to 30โ€ฏtimes per hour, unified pricing interface, customizable strategies, and real-time updatesโ€”all without manual intervention

  • Comes with dedicated onboarding, a personal account manager, and yearโ€‘round support

How would you describe your primary audience?

Multiply.cloud's answer:

Our primary audience comprises ambitious, growthโ€‘oriented eCommerce sellers and marketplace vendors who:

  • Operate across multiple sales channelsโ€”from Amazon to niche marketplaces and their own storefronts.

  • Need to scale SKU-level repricing efficientlyโ€”whether managing hundreds or millions of items.

  • Want to win Buy Boxes and maximize margins without entering destructive price wars.

  • Value data-driven, automated workflows, but still require human support, strategic insights, and flexibility in pricing rules.

  • Represent both midโ€‘market and enterpriseโ€‘level businesses, including brands onboarding as well as seasoned marketplace professionals.

  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst Exam Readiness
Hey everyone, I'm interested in taking the Tableau Certified Data Analyst Exam Readiness course through tableau.com to prepare and get Tableau certified. I had some questions about the course, such as are the videos pre recorded or in person, do you have access to the material once the 90 days expire, and I was also wondering if anyone had input/advice for this course. Thanks! Source: about 2 years ago
  • Where to publish knowledge sharing on Tableau reverse engineering and data dictionary generation?
Could anyone recommend what media I should approach to publish my work (internet or print). I could try the Tableau forum in tableau.com but it's not very active + Tableau may be unappreciative as my work overlaps with their (pricey) data management solution. Plus it needs to be some high visibility / reputable media to count for my career development. Any recommendations welcome thanks!!! Source: almost 3 years ago
  • I have huge loads of data in Redshift. How can I make this available to end-users after performing few procs and queries? It should be available online.
Tableau public: tableau.com. Big player but your data will be made public and not really user-friendly data model. Source: over 3 years ago
  • What tips do you have on evaluating various BI tools for business needs? What are the essential criteria's you would include when evaluating different tools? The goal is to have an unbiased, objective approach.
For example, we have a project to compare Tableau, Power BI, and InetSoft. The need for strong pagination-based email delivery eliminated Tableau. AWS's Linux instance is the targeted platform which makes Power BI less than ideal. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Anyone go into Data Analytics after this program?
I just started learning Tableau because our dept is transitioning into Tableau from Power BI. Since I already have years of experience with Power BI I just went over their tutorials from tableau.com and got onboarded pretty quick. I'm still learning it but I'm at least able to build out reports and get things done. Its not too difficult to pickup one BI tool when you have experience with another. Source: over 3 years ago
