SubmitHub features and specs

  • Wide Network of Curators
SubmitHub provides access to a large network of music bloggers, playlist curators, and influencers, allowing artists to submit their music to various platforms with ease.
  • Feedback System
Artists receive direct feedback from curators, which can be valuable for understanding how their music is perceived and areas of improvement.
  • Cost-Effectiveness
Compared to traditional PR services, SubmitHub offers a more affordable way for artists to pitch their music to curators and influencers.
  • User-Friendly Interface
The platform is designed to be easy to use, allowing artists to submit their music quickly and efficiently with a straightforward process.
  • Quick Responses
SubmitHub is known for its fast response time, typically within 48 hours, which helps artists gauge interest and plan their strategies.

Possible disadvantages of SubmitHub

  • Limited Success Rate
Despite the wide network, there's no guarantee of placements, and a large number of submissions can go unnoticed or be declined.
  • Feedback Quality
Although feedback is provided, its quality can vary widely, with some comments being generic and not particularly helpful.
  • Paid Submissions
While submitting is free, using credits (which cost money) often increases the chances of receiving feedback and having submissions considered seriously.
  • Competitive Environment
SubmitHub is a popular platform, leading to high competition among artists, which can make it challenging to get noticed.
  • Bias Toward Certain Genres
Some users have noted a bias toward mainstream or specific genres, which may limit opportunities for artists in niche categories.

php eventloop features and specs

  • Simple and lightweight
The library provides a minimalistic implementation of an event loop in PHP, making it easy to understand and integrate into small projects without heavy dependencies.
  • Educational value
As a straightforward PHP event loop implementation, it serves as a great learning resource for developers wanting to understand how event loops and asynchronous programming concepts work under the hood in PHP.
  • Non-blocking I/O support
The library enables non-blocking I/O operations in PHP, allowing developers to handle multiple tasks concurrently without relying on multi-threading, which PHP does not natively support well.
  • Timer and periodic task support
It provides built-in support for timers and periodic tasks, enabling developers to schedule recurring operations or delayed execution within the event loop.
  • Pure PHP implementation
The library is written in pure PHP without requiring external C extensions, making it portable and easy to install across different PHP environments without special compilation steps.

Possible disadvantages of php eventloop

  • Limited community and support
The project has a very small community with minimal stars, forks, and contributors on GitHub, which means limited peer support, fewer bug reports, and potentially slower issue resolution.
  • Not production-ready
Given its small scale and limited adoption, the library may not be battle-tested enough for production environments where reliability, performance, and stability are critical.
  • Limited features compared to alternatives
More established PHP async libraries like ReactPHP, AmpPHP, and others offer far more comprehensive ecosystems with HTTP servers, database clients, and stream handling that this library lacks.
  • Performance limitations
Being a pure PHP implementation without leveraging extensions like ev, libuv, or swoole, the event loop may suffer from performance bottlenecks compared to extension-backed alternatives when handling high concurrency.
  • Poor documentation
The repository has minimal documentation and examples, making it difficult for new users to understand the full API, edge cases, and best practices for using the library effectively.

Analysis of php eventloop

Overall verdict

  • php-eventloop is a lightweight event loop implementation for PHP that provides a solid, minimalistic solution for developers wanting to implement asynchronous, non-blocking behavior without adopting a full framework like ReactPHP or Amp. It's good for learning purposes and simpler use cases, though it lacks the extensive ecosystem, tooling, and production hardening of more established async libraries.

Why this product is good

  • Lightweight and simple to understand, making it easy to integrate into small projects
  • Useful for learning how event loops work under the hood in PHP
  • Minimal dependencies compared to larger async frameworks
  • Open source and available for inspection/modification on GitHub
  • Can be a good starting point for building custom async solutions

Recommended for

  • Developers learning about event-driven programming in PHP
  • Small projects needing basic async functionality without heavy dependencies
  • Educational purposes and understanding event loop internals
  • Prototyping simple non-blocking I/O operations
  • Developers who want full control over a minimal event loop implementation

I paid for Spotify playlist placements so you donโ€™t haveย to
Groover and Submithub work much the same way: you pay about $2 or $3 dollars to submit to an individual playlist curator. Soundcampaign works very differently: you select a genre(s) and declare a budget and the system comes up with a shortlist of curators for you which it then sends your track. But itโ€™s much more expensive at about $9 per submission. You cannot target...

  • How long should you promote one song if you think it's the one?
With my band we are aiming for a monthly release and full on promotion during that month, then slowly plug it for another few weeks in the shadow of the latest single. Not yet got grips to tik-tok but will be spending weekend figuring somethings out on that front but for now its FB, Reddit, submithub.com and YouTube shorts. Source: over 3 years ago
  • How I got 200,000 streams on Spotify in 9 months as a broke self-published composer (and how you can too)
All good info. I will say the only promotional service I've found worth a shit is submithub.com. Makes getting in contact with curators and promoting through playlists a million times easier. Source: over 3 years ago
  • What has your experience been with submitting your songs to content curators? I recently discovered dailyplaylists.com, and while it's only been four days, I really have no complaints.
I spent around 120 US dollars last year on submithub.com, slogging through the endless dreaded "decline" messages for ultimately three proper shares, out of like...lots. My music isn't that great or anything, solid average. It's inoffensive, not bad, but it's not going to grab you and make you think, "OMG this is amazing." Ultimately I had a very, very difficult time finding placement on that website. Source: over 3 years ago
  • House/Electronic Artist Looking For Playlist to Submit to?!
I use submithub.com with pretty good success for this. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Selfpromotion via playlist push services (like playlistpush) on a small budget -test run-
First service I tested was submithub.com. You can buy credits and then submit your song to playlist curators. Cost is between $1-3 per curator. You choose the curators yourself. I bought 50 Creds = around $50 and submit to 19 curators. I got 2 positive responses and was added to two playlists. One was very good, generated around 400 plays and the others generated 80 plays.
