  • Clean and Professional Formatting
StepsKit automatically formats guides into a clean, structured layout with numbered steps, making the output look polished and professional without requiring design skills.

Possible disadvantages of StepsKit

  • Limited Brand Customization
As a relatively focused tool, StepsKit may offer limited options for deep brand customization such as fully custom themes, fonts, or advanced styling to match specific corporate branding guidelines.
  • Niche Use Case
StepsKit is specifically designed for step-by-step guides, which means it may not be versatile enough for teams needing a broader documentation or knowledge base solution that covers multiple content types.
  • Relatively Unknown Platform
Compared to established documentation tools like Scribe, Tango, or Loom, StepsKit has a smaller user base and community, which may mean fewer integrations, community resources, and third-party support.
  • Potential Feature Limitations
As a newer or smaller tool, StepsKit may lack some advanced features found in competitors, such as robust analytics, extensive integration options with other productivity tools, or advanced collaboration features.
  • Dependency on Platform Availability
As a web-based tool, users are dependent on StepsKit's servers and continued operation. If the service experiences downtime or is discontinued, access to created guides could be affected.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StepsKit and Electe.

What makes your product unique?

StepsKit's answer

  • Flat $19/mo for unlimited tours — vs. $300+/mo at Appcues, Userpilot, and Pendo. No per-seat pricing, no MAU caps, no enterprise sales calls.
  • Visual builder works inside your live app — no Chrome extension, no staging environment required. Build tours directly on your production site.
  • Built for fast-shipping teams — designed around feature announcements, not just one-time onboarding. Ship a tour as fast as you ship a feature.
  • Lightweight embed — a single <script> tag is all it takes. No SDK bloat, no performance hit.
  • Honest, simple pricing — Free plan for 1 tour; Pro at $19/month flat for unlimited tours and unlimited team members.

Electe's answer:

Electe aims to create significant benefits for its customers by improving their experience in using its products and services. Data analysis tools and artificial intelligence-based solutions enable SMEs to make more informed, data-driven decisions. Companies expect a solution such as this to improve operational efficiency and reduce the time needed to perform manual and repetitive tasks, allowing them to focus on the core business. AI-based analytics tools and data integration capabilities can meet these expectations, helping companies make more informed decisions and more easily monitor the process of achieving their goals.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

StepsKit's answer

Most product tour tools were built for enterprise — slow to set up, priced per seat, and overkill for teams that just need to announce a feature this Friday.

StepsKit is built for fast-moving SaaS teams:

  • Price: $19/month flat for unlimited tours and unlimited team members. Competitors like Appcues and Pendo start at $300+/month.
  • Speed: Build and publish a tour in minutes, not days. The visual builder works inside your live app — no staging environment, no Chrome extension needed.
  • Simplicity: Embed a single <script> tag. No SDK, no complex setup, no sales calls required.
  • No gotchas: No per-seat fees, no MAU limits, no surprise overage charges. Free plan available for teams starting out.

Electe's answer:

Electe differs from competitors in its easy-to-use interface, customizable reporting options, and a market strategy targeted at small and medium-sized businesses. Electe's pricing model is also more affordable than its competitors, making it an attractive option for small businesses. In addition, Electe plans to offer a discount and referral program to incentivize current customers to refer new customers. The competitive landscape of the data analytics platform market has become increasingly crowded in recent years, with many new entrants and established players vying for market share. The market is dominated by large players, but there is also a growing demand for options that are easier and cheaper to use. As the market continues to evolve, it will be important to stay ahead of the competition by continuing to offer innovative features and a focused market strategy

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

StepsKit's answer

StepsKit is built for Product Managers, Customer Success leads, and Founders at SaaS companies with 5–100 employees — teams that ship features regularly and need a fast, affordable way to announce them to users.

Primary audience: - SaaS product teams who ship weekly and want to announce new features in-app without engineering work - Customer Success leads who need to onboard new users or drive adoption of underused features - Solo founders and indie SaaS builders who move fast and can't justify $300+/month for enterprise tour tools

Industries: B2B SaaS, Developer Tools, Productivity software, and any web app with a regularly shipping product team.

Electe's answer:

The service proposed by Electe is aimed at SMEs at this stage. The target market does not consist of a well-defined type of company but includes all companies, which are daily in the condition of having to make managerial decisions with positive and negative repercussions that will affect the entire business reality. Electe, will mainly target small and medium-sized enterprises because they have structural and business organization characteristics for which they might be interested in receiving support through the use of software that reduces the commitment of internal resources. In addition, resorting to the use of an innovative digital platform increases the digitization process of companies, the main goal of the NRP. Especially considering that the digital transition is proceeding slowly in our country, new software using AI can increase its attractiveness to businesses. Electe's target companies are, specifically, all those businesses that perform important data analysis that can be complicated and time-consuming and resource-intensive for the individual company.

What's the story behind your product?

StepsKit's answer

StepsKit was built by Nikita Bobers, a solo technical founder who saw a recurring problem at his day job: every time the product team shipped something new, announcing it to users was a manual, painful process — someone had to write the email, update the docs, post in Slack, and hope users actually noticed.

Existing product tour tools were either overkill (enterprise platforms starting at $300+/month) or too developer-heavy to use quickly. There was no simple, affordable tool for teams that just needed to say "hey, we shipped something — here's how it works."

So Nikita built StepsKit: a visual in-app tour builder designed around speed and simplicity. The goal was to let any product team announce features, onboard users, and drive adoption — without engineering work and without enterprise pricing.

StepsKit is Nikita's fifth product. The previous four all reached paying customers. He builds, ships, and supports it himself.

Electe's answer:

Electe S.r.l. was born from the idea of Fabio Lauria who, in February 2023, decided to establish an innovative start-up to formalize his business and service, namely a platform for collecting a large amount of data that, through the use of modern I4.0 technologies such as artificial intelligence, is able to elaborate strategic management solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. Electe is the result of the experience and resourcefulness of its founder, a manager who, despite his young age, has more than 10 years of professional experience in the field of technological systems and who, for 3 years, served as CEO at a company that provides plant solutions dedicated to the industrial, civil and tertiary sectors. It is precisely management's awareness and in-depth knowledge of the industry that is behind the idea that led to the establishment of Electe S.r.l., whose vision is to revolutionize data analysis through artificial intelligence, offering innovative solutions to improve business decisions and operational efficiency. Guided by the charismatic leadership of its founder, Electe aims to become a global benchmark in the industry.
