Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

Steps & Beasts App
Codeisfun

Overall verdict

  • Steps & Beasts appears to be a fitness gamification app that turns walking or step-tracking into an engaging experience by pairing physical activity with collectible creatures or game-like rewards, making it a solid choice for users who want extra motivation to stay active.

Why this product is good

  • Gamifies everyday walking, turning exercise into a fun, reward-driven activity
  • Helps build consistent movement habits through incremental goals and collectibles
  • Simple concept that appeals to casual users, not just serious athletes
  • Likely integrates with phone step counters for easy, low-effort tracking
  • Adds a playful, low-pressure way to stay motivated compared to traditional fitness apps

Recommended for

  • People looking for a fun way to increase daily step counts
  • Casual walkers who enjoy game-like incentives
  • Users who find traditional fitness trackers boring or unmotivating
  • Parents or younger users who enjoy collectible/creature-based games
  • Anyone wanting a lightweight, gamified approach to building healthier habits

Overall verdict

  • I don't have verified, current information confirming the existence, offerings, or reputation of a specific site at codeisfun.com, so I can't responsibly confirm whether it's 'good.' Treat any claims about it with caution until you verify directly.

Why this product is good

  • No reliable, up-to-date data available on this specific domain's content, reviews, or reputation.
  • Domain names can change ownership or purpose over time, so past information may not reflect current status.
  • Without verifying details like company registration, user reviews, security certificates, and actual content, it's not possible to vouch for quality or legitimacy.
  • Generic-sounding coding/education domains are sometimes used for placeholder pages, parked domains, or rebranded services, which adds uncertainty.

Recommended for

  • Users willing to independently verify the site's legitimacy via WHOIS lookup, SSL certificate check, and third-party reviews before engaging.
  • People comfortable doing due diligence (checking Trustpilot, Reddit, or Better Business Bureau) before trusting an unfamiliar platform.
  • Not recommended for entering payment or personal information without first confirming the site's authenticity and security.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Steps & Beasts App and Codeisfun.

What makes your product unique?

Steps & Beasts App's answer

Steps & Beasts is unique because it turns your daily step goal into a cozy little adventure - every day you walk, you hatch a new cute creature. No ads, no tracking, over 200 Beasts to collect, streak-saving with Lazy Day, and all built by a solo indie dev who updates the app constantly.

What's the story behind your product?

Steps & Beasts App's answer

I built Steps & Beasts because I needed something simple and fun to motivate myself to walk more. Regular step trackers felt boring, so I created a tiny daily reward: reach your goal, hatch a cute Beast, and slowly build a collection. What started as a small side project turned into a full iOS app with over 200 creatures, streak-saving features, 3D animations, and a cozy atmosphere - all made by a solo indie developer who uses the app every day himself.
