Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StatusCake and DownCTL.

What makes your product unique?

DownCTL's answer:

Most tools stop at "your site is down." DownCTL covers uptime, SSL/domain/DNS expiry, APIs and form endpoints, cron jobs and background tasks, third-party/vendor status, and app errors — then carries that signal through the whole lifecycle: check fails → alert fires → incident opens → status page updates → client's informed → it rolls into their report. One platform, start to finish, instead of monitoring in one tool and explaining it to clients by hand.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

DownCTL's answer:

DownCTL is built around managing a portfolio of client websites, not a single site. It combines uptime, SSL/domain/DNS, API, cron job, internal and external port, third party vendor, and server performance monitoring into one dashboard. When something goes wrong it tells the full story. It also monitors SEO metrics and content, looking for broken links, missing images, and missing/incorrectly formatted files. It includes a branded client status pages and automated reports to close the loop with clients. Its the workflow an agency or freelancer needs, in one dashboard instead of five separate tools.
