I can recommend Standard Notes as an alternative. https://standardnotes.com/ Works well on all paltforms, desktop and mobile. The sync works also great. I'm using Strava to track endurance work and strong.app for lifting. I'm pretty happy with Strong, but it is a subscription app if you want to save more than three custom workout routines (they also have some of the popular beginner programs pre-populated). Source: over 4 years ago
