  • New online shop, need Tech side assistance, best resources?
I'll have approx 10-20 products, would like to have live inventory, and be able to accept CC payments and initiate shipping labels through USPS or stamps.com type of thing. The idea would be that the functionality of the site minimizes the labor of order fulfillment. I have an etsy store for 4 products and like the way that is done. Unfortunately, the products are probably not appropriate for Shopify or Etsy type... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Stamp.com and shipstation integration can double charge you for labels without you knowing
When I opened up the order history in stamps.com I noticed that there were dupliacte labels purchased for the same order number. Then I went over to shipstation to see if the duplicate shipping label were imported and there was no record of it being there at all. So stamps.com would occasionaly purchase 2-4 labels for one order but only send one of the labels through to shipstaion. Since we never log in to... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Which company offers the cheapest shipping rates?
I have been very happy with my Shipstation rates, but the incredible customer service I get direct with a UPS rep on my other accounts is second to none. I do hate having to constantly reload a stamps.com balance and I would much prefer invoice billing like I get direct with UPS. Source: over 2 years ago
  • I found this whole mountain made of bonsai soil. I wish I could bag it up and take some home. This was incredible after paying $20 for a little bag of this stuff.
The cost to ship the box is $22.80 (and would be cheaper if you use something like stamps.com) and the 3.43 gallons of pumice would cost $1.67, making your total cost to buy and ship $24.47, which is $7.33/gallon. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Received Unsolicited Coins Through USPS - Scam
My USPS Informed Delivery email says I have a package from stamps.com waiting for me. I didn't order anything from stamps.com. Source: almost 3 years ago

  • Web Environment Integrity API
Oh by "Web Environment" you mean "my machine" lol! I already got caught by this - a https://github.com/nativefier/nativefier app wrapping Youtube Music doesn't work, because Google detects somehow that you are not using a trusted browser and refuses to serve. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
  • What is the most efficient way to run PWA (Progressive Web Apps), there are many browsers that do it (Chrome, Chromium, Vivaldi, Brave, Edge), which one will be the lightest and less resource usage in a Debian or Fedora? Are there other options apart from the browsers?
AFAIK there's only nativefier and peppermintos' ice. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Create clean web apps for macOS
Install Nativefier from Terminal using the command npm install -g nativefier. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Can I download Youtube (WebAPP) with Firefox? Or do I need Google Chrome/Chromium?
It's still not quite the same as Chromium webapps, which are just isolated windows in the same core process -- FFPWA spins up entire other instances of Firefox -- and in effect operates more like Nativefier (with Firefox instead of Electron/Chromium). Source: about 3 years ago
  • Will there ever be a proper Windows app?
