Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Brand Recognition
As a relatively newer or smaller player in the cloud cost optimization space, StackTidy may lack the brand recognition and extensive community support of more established competitors like CloudHealth or Spot.io.
  • Feature Depth Compared to Competitors
More established cloud cost management platforms may offer deeper analytics, governance features, and enterprise-grade capabilities that StackTidy may still be developing.
  • Limited Public Reviews
There is a limited number of public user reviews and third-party evaluations available, making it harder for potential customers to assess real-world performance and reliability.
  • Potential Scaling Limitations
For very large enterprises with complex multi-cloud architectures, StackTidy may not yet offer the same level of scalability and customization as larger, more mature platforms.
  • Dependency on Cloud Provider APIs
Like most cloud cost tools, StackTidy relies on cloud provider APIs and data access, which means changes or limitations in those APIs could impact the tool's effectiveness or accuracy.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StackTidy and Lucris.

What makes your product unique?

StackTidy's answer

Built by an IT manager who got tired of surprise renewals and spreadsheet chaos. No enterprise bloat, no sales calls, no $500/mo pricing. Just simple subscription tracking for small teams at $29/mo.

Lucris's answer:

Lucris turns Shopify, marketing, and cost data into clear financial decisions. It explains what changed, why it matters, and what to do next - not just more charts.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

StackTidy's answer

4x cheaper than alternatives. No sales calls. No enterprise complexity. Just track your subscriptions, get renewal reminders, stop wasting money. Start in minutes, not weeks.

Lucris's answer:

Choose Lucris if you care about profitable growth, not just revenue or attribution. It connects marketing performance to contribution margin, CAC payback, cash flow, and profit.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

StackTidy's answer

Anyone who's ever found a forgotten $49/mo subscription on the company card and thought "how long have we been paying for this?"

Lucris's answer:

Shopify and DTC founders, operators, finance leads, and agencies that need clearer, faster growth decisions.

What's the story behind your product?

StackTidy's answer

Built by an IT manager who spent too many hours chasing down forgotten subscriptions and updating spreadsheets that nobody looked at. After finding thousands wasted on tools nobody used, I built what I wanted - something simple that just works. No enterprise sales pitch, no complex setup. Just a clean way to track what you're paying for.

Lucris's answer:

Lucris grew out of hundreds of DTC growth audits. Brands had plenty of dashboards but still struggled to turn their data into confident decisions. Lucris was built to close that gap.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Lucris's answer:

RedwoodJS, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, Prisma, Supabase, and OpenAI, with integrations for Shopify, Meta Ads, Google Ads, and Slack.
