Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StackGo and SideWRK.app.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SideWRK.app's answer:

Solo tradespeople and one-person trade businesses — the mobile mechanic, plumber, electrician, HVAC tech, auto detailer, pool tech, house cleaner, pest-control operator, handyman, and landscaper, across 28 trades. People who run the whole show themselves, work off their phone, and are replacing pen-and-paper, texting, and spreadsheets — not crews shopping for dispatch software.

What's the story behind your product?

SideWRK.app's answer:

SideWRK started from a simple observation: every "field service" app is really crew software. They're priced per seat, built around dispatch boards, and quietly designed to push a business toward hiring. But most people in the trades work alone — and a solo operator doesn't need any of that. They need to write a clean estimate at the truck, get a yes they can prove, send a professional invoice, and actually get paid — without losing money to card fees or waiting on a merchant account. SideWRK was built to be exactly that, and nothing more: the fastest way for a one-person trade to look legit and get paid, from a phone.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SideWRK.app's answer:

Tools like Jobber and Housecall Pro are built to grow you into a crew — priced per seat, packed with dispatch and scheduling features a solo operator will never use, and more expensive at the entry tier. SideWRK does one thing extremely well: it helps a one-person operator estimate, get the customer's approval, invoice, and get paid — fast, from a phone. It's cheaper ($24/mo vs. $29–79), simpler, has no contract, and is the only one that lets you skip card fees entirely by getting paid to Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App with no merchant account.

What makes your product unique?

SideWRK.app's answer:

SideWRK is the only field-service app built specifically for the one-person trade business — and the only one that lets you get paid with no merchant account. Take a card in the app, or send a tap-to-pay request straight to Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Zelle, or Apple Pay, fee-free. It's also opinionated by trade: it already knows a roofer bills in squares, a detailer in packages, and an HVAC tech leads with a diagnostic fee — across 28 trades, in English and Spanish. No crew/dispatch bloat, no per-seat pricing.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SideWRK.app's answer:

React 18 with htm (no build step), delivered as a self-contained progressive web app on Cloudflare Pages with Pages Functions for server-rendered pages. Backend on Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions). Payments via Stripe (Connect + direct charges). Offline support via a service worker and IndexedDB. Bilingual (English/Spanish).
