Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StackGo and erase.tools.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

erase.tools's answer:

Choose erase.tools for a fast, direct workflow. Upload a file, mark what you want to change, download the result. You do not need design or video-editing experience, and you do not need an account for the browser-based tools. Most alternatives are large design suites (Canva, Adobe Express, Picsart, Fotor) where the remover is one feature inside a big editor. erase.tools is the opposite: one page per job. It keeps the original resolution where possible, adds no watermark of its own to your output, supports the common image and video formats, and states the limits of each tool on the page instead of after you pay.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

erase.tools's answer:

erase.tools uses Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the web application. It uses Node.js and Express for backend services.

What makes your product unique?

erase.tools's answer:

erase.tools puts AI cleanup tools and private, browser-based utilities in one place. You can remove a watermark from a photo or a video, remove text from an image, remove captions and burned-in subtitles, remove the background from an image, and remove objects or people from a photo — each on its own page, with no editor to learn. The AI tools rebuild the selected area from the pixels around it. They do not hide the area with blur and they do not crop the image. The convert, blur, pixelate and censor tools (HEIC to JPG, WebP to PNG, WebP to JPG, blur a face, blur text in an image, pixelate an image) run fully in the browser, so those files never leave your device.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

erase.tools's answer:

erase.tools is for content creators, social media managers, marketers, online sellers, photographers, video editors, and anyone who must clean up an image or a video quickly: take a watermark off a stock photo you licensed, take burned-in captions off a clip before you repost it, blur a face or a licence plate before you share a screenshot, or cut a product out of its background for a listing. It also suits occasional users who want one clean result without installing software or paying for a full creative suite.

What's the story behind your product?

erase.tools's answer:

erase.tools started with a simple idea: to remove one unwanted thing from an image or a video should not need a complex editor. The most-searched requests — "remove watermark from photo", "remove text from image", "remove object from photo" — usually lead to a large design suite, a lower-quality export, or a watermark on the result. erase.tools was built as a set of focused tools that each do one job in as few steps as possible. It began with the AI removal tools and grew to include private, browser-based image conversion, blur, pixelate and censor utilities.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

erase.tools's answer:

erase.tools does not publish customer names at this time. The tools are used mostly by individuals and small teams, not by named enterprise accounts. The main user groups are:

  • Independent content creators and social media managers
  • Marketers and small agencies
  • Online sellers on Etsy, eBay, Shopify and Amazon
  • Photographers and photo studios
  • Video editors and podcast clip editors
  • Small creative and design teams
  • Occasional users who need one clean file
