What makes your product unique?

BookStacker.app's answer:

BookStacker is the only book tracking app that combines true offline-first architecture with an elegant Dark Academia aesthetic. Your entire library lives on your device encrypted, private, never shared with Amazon or any third party. It supports rare and antique books with bibliographic fields like edition, condition, and binding, alongside modern features like AI recommendations and family profiles.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

BookStacker.app's answer:

Unlike Goodreads, BookStacker is not owned by Amazon and never tracks your reading data. Unlike StoryGraph, it works 100% offline with no internet required. Unlike Libib, it has a beautiful, curated interface designed for readers who take their books seriously. Migration from Goodreads takes 30 seconds via CSV import no data left behind.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

BookStacker.app's answer:

Serious readers and book collectors who are frustrated with Goodreads and want a private, elegant alternative. Typically 25-50 years old, they own 100+ books, care deeply about privacy, and want an app that respects their library as much as they do. Also collectors of rare and antique editions who need bibliographic detail beyond a simple ISBN.

What's the story behind your product?

BookStacker.app's answer:

BookStacker was built by a single developer and book lover who was tired of Goodreads selling reading data to Amazon and wanted something better private, fast, and beautiful. What started as a personal project became a fully featured PWA available in 6 languages, with offline-first architecture, AI recommendations, and support for rare book collections. Built with passion, not venture capital.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

BookStacker.app's answer:

React 19, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, IndexedDB (offline-first local database), i18next for internationalization, deployed on Cloudflare Pages. Lighthouse scores: 92 Performance, 100 SEO, 100 Accessibility, 100 Best Practices.
