If you are using CDK then check out SST: https://github.com/serverless-stack/serverless-stack It's based on CDK and has a great local development environment for Lambda. Have you looked at using something like https://diffy.website/? I use that on my sites, and although it's a little pricier up-front, I've found it does a great job at catching visual changes. It doesn't catch everything though. Source: about 5 years ago
