The Forensic Lab for TikTok Creators (Built by a 58-Year-Old Vibe Coder)

Forget viral hacks and vanity dashboards. GrumpyGitโ€™s Creator Tools is an ai driven suite of tools for TikTok Shop Affiliates and growing TikTik Creators, who need to know why their views dropped, and what to do to fix it, not just that they dropped.

The Story: Iโ€™m a 58-year-old creator. After hitting unexplained violations and the "200-view jail," I stopped shouting at the algorithm and started coding. Partnering with Google's Gemini 2.5 AI, I built a lab to crack the black box of TikTok's metadata.

The Toolbox:

-๐Ÿ•ต๏ธโ€โ™‚๏ธ Shadowban Checker & Account Health Analyser Real live search visibility tests. We analyse your account metrics and your last 20 videos, to detect common signals including "View Jail" patterns (the 200-view ceiling), and even compare organic vs. shoppable video performance. In this, we are unique.

-โš–๏ธ Violation Checker/Analyser Generic notices are useless. We use AI to WATCH and LISTEN to your video to find the exact time-stamped visual or audio trigger for your violation so you can fix it or appeal successfully. We even check your hashtags and description for possible violations.

-โšก AI Video Analyser Don't post blind. Our AI scores your Hook (first 3seconds), the pacing of your video, and the engagement potential against viral structures, even before you upload. The same tool will tell you EXACTLY why your video did not POP the way you expected it would, and then tells you how to fix it for the next one.

-๐Ÿ“ General Utilities: Watermark-free downloads and clean, ai driven grammar-corrected video transcripts instantly.

This isn't a VC startup. It's a bootstrapped Micro-SaaS built on science, not luck. No fluff. No bloat. Stop guessing why your reach is dead. Analyse your account and videos, now.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing socketify.py and Grumpygit.uk.

What makes your product unique?

Grumpygit.uk's answer:

Most TikTok tools are just "vanity mirrors"โ€”they show you pretty graphs of your views going down. I built GrumpyGit because I needed actual answers.

Iโ€™m a 58-year-old creator who got tired of guessing why my videos were flopping. Unlike generic analytics dashboards, my tools use deep AI analysis and metadata scraping to tell you why you're struggling and what to do to fix it, not just that you're struggling.

Whether it's the Shadowban Checker that tests search visibility in real-time and also gives you a valuable plain English explanation of your stats, or the Violation Forensics tool that explains exactly which community guideline you accidentally tripped, this suite is designed for creators who want the data-driven, unvarnished truth. Itโ€™s not about hype; itโ€™s about fixing your account so you can actually make money.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Grumpygit.uk's answer:

Because the other tools treat you like a statistic; I treat you the way I needed to be treated.

Most competitors charge you a monthly fortune just to show you a graph of your views going down. Thatโ€™s useless. You choose GrumpyGit's Creator Tools because you want to know why they went down.

  • Forensics, not just Analytics: My tools don't just count likes; they analyse the video metadata, check search indexing to confirm Shadowbans, and use Google's Gemini 2.5 AI to grade your hooks and pacing.
  • No "Guru" Fluff: I built this because I was a frustrated creator myself. There are no "hacks" or "secrets" here, just hard data on things like the "200-View Jail" and Shop compliance issues.
  • Micro-SaaS Pricing: I'm a bootstrapped, 58-year-old solo founder, not a VC-backed corporation. You pay for the tokens you use, or a modest subscription. No bloat, no ads, just tools that work.

Not to forget that my free initial offering gives full access to my tools and analysis, nothing is 'blurred out'. You get to test everything properly and only stay or decide to take a subscription, if the tools offer you the value that you are looking for!

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Grumpygit.uk's answer:

Itโ€™s for the creators who are serious about building their accounts organically and need to understand how the algorithm works. My tools are especially well suited for TikTok Shop Affiliates and business-minded creators who rely on their account for income!

If you're just posting cat videos for fun, you don't need me. But if you're trying to qualify for the Affiliate program, stuck in the "200-view jail," or trying to figure out why your product video got flagged for a "Commercial Policy Violation," you are the reason I built these tools.

Basically, I build for the people who treat content creation as a job and can't afford to have the algorithm inexplicably shut them down.

What's the story behind your product?

Grumpygit.uk's answer:

It started with a generic "Violation" notice and a lot of confusion.

Back in February 2025, I was grinding to qualify for the TikTok Shop Affiliate program. When I finally qualified, Iโ€™d then spend hours creating and editing a 30 second video, only to have it flop or get flagged with zero explanation. I looked for tools to explain why, but all I found were expensive dashboards showing me vanity metrics I already knew.

Iโ€™m 58. I hadnโ€™t written a line of PHP since the 90s. But I was frustrated enough to try. I fired up an AI coding assistant and decided to build a simple script to analyse my video metadata.

That "simple script" spiralled into a fully blown obsession. I have spent 6 months "Vibe Coding"โ€”battling with API documentation, learning modern architecture, and writing over 8,000 lines of code to build the tools I wished I had on Day 1. GrumpyGit isn't a VC-backed startup; itโ€™s the result of one stubborn old git refusing to let an algorithm beat him.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Grumpygit.uk's answer:

The core is a custom WordPress plugin built on a "Hub & Spoke" architecture using PHP. I didn't want the bloat of modern frameworks, so the frontend is clean, vanilla JavaScript and CSS.

The real magic happens in the integrations: I use Google's Gemini 2.5 API (Flash & Pro models) for the intelligence layer, utilizing a custom "double-failover" system I built to manage costs. For the raw data, I rely on Apify actors to handle the heavy lifting of TikTok metadata extraction, with everything cached in custom MySQL tables to keep it fast.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Grumpygit.uk's answer:

  • ME
  • some friends

Seriously, I have literally just launched and I am in that "exclusive early access" phase where every user gets to shout directly at me (the developer) if something doesn't work, or could be better.

  • This is how I started the development of the fastest ASGI and WSGI Server in TechEmPower Benchmarks
After starting the project called socketify.py at https://github.com/cirospaciari/socketify.py, I got pretty good results and reviews, but many people asked if socketify.py could be used to create a WSGI and ASGI server. WSGI and ASGI have a lot of overhead, that's is why I choose not to use them in the first place, but adding an ASGI and WSGI server allows a lot of code already written to run faster!
