Citare is the only AI search intelligence platform that ships a full Ahrefs-class SEO suite at every paid tier. Built for marketers, founders, and agencies tracking brand visibility across the new four-index reality: Google (AI Overview + Gemini), Bing (ChatGPT), Brave (Claude), and Perplexity's own crawl.

What's included

AI search measurement (Brand Radar): - Persona-anchored 50-cell weekly dispatches across all 5 AI engines - Citation rate, share of voice, competitive density per platform - Google AI Overview captured via vision-parsed screenshots (most competitors skip AIO entirely) - Claude tracked via Brave-grounded queries (also routinely skipped) Traditional SEO suite: - Site Explorer โ€” backlinks, referring domains, anchor distribution, domain rating - Keywords Explorer โ€” volume, keyword difficulty, CPC, related terms, country breakdowns - Rank Tracker โ€” historical positions for your keywords + competitor pages - Site Audit โ€” page-by-page crawl, structured data validation, AI-bot allowlist checks - Content Explorer, Bot Analytics, Web Analytics, GSC Insights Developer surface: - REST API at every paid tier - MCP server (Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT) at Pro tier and up - 23 free utility tools (LLM Quote Extractor, AEO Score Checker, llms.txt Validator, JSON-LD Inspector, and more)

Who it's for

  • Founders running SEO themselves who want one tool covering both traditional ranking and AI search measurement
  • Agencies managing 5-50 brands with white-label reports at the Agency tier
  • In-house SEOs whose CMO is asking "where do we stand on ChatGPT?"
  • Indian and APAC buyers wanting native rupee billing (Razorpay, GST invoices) instead of FX + tax friction on USD-only competitors Why Citare : Ahrefs and Semrush nail traditional ranking but bolt on AI search as an afterthought (Ahrefs explicitly skips Claude). New AI-only tools like Profound and Otterly nail AI search but have no SEO suite โ€” you'd pair them with Ahrefs at $1,000+/mo combined.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Smart Objects and Citare.

What makes your product unique?

Citare's answer:

Citare is the only platform that ships full Ahrefs-class SEO (Site Explorer, Keywords Explorer, Rank Tracker, Site Audit) AND 5-engine AI search measurement (ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity) under a single subscription. Most tools force you to pair Ahrefs + Profound (~$1,000/mo combined). Citare bundles both starting at $35/mo. We also ship Claude tracking (Brave-grounded) and AIO via vision-parsed screenshots โ€” both routinely skipped by competitors. INR-native billing via Razorpay for Indian customers.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Citare's answer:

Three reasons:

  1. Bundled stack. Citare = Ahrefs + Profound + Otterly in one subscription. You'd otherwise pay $129 (Ahrefs) + $999+ (Profound) = $1,128+/month. Citare Pro is $119/month.

  2. 5-engine AI search coverage. Ahrefs explicitly skips Claude. Semrush only has Perplexity in beta. Profound is sales-gated enterprise-only. Otterly skips Claude too. Citare covers all 5 engines including Claude (Brave-grounded) and Google AI Overview (via vision-parsed screenshots) at every paid tier.

  3. Persona-anchored measurement. Every Brand Radar dispatch runs 3-4 ICPs against the same query set, revealing which buyer persona surfaces your brand and which doesn't. Single-pass competitors miss this dimension entirely.

Bonus: INR-native billing via Razorpay with GST-compliant invoices for Indian customers โ€” every other tool is USD-only.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Citare's answer:

Four buyer personas:

  • Founders running SEO themselves who want one tool covering both traditional ranking and AI search measurement at a price that doesn't double their stack.
  • In-house SEOs whose CMO is asking "where do we stand on ChatGPT?" โ€” Citare is the answer they can demo back the same day.
  • SEO and marketing agencies managing 5-50 brands, who need white-label reports + per-client portfolios at the Agency tier ($299/month).
  • Indian and APAC buyers who want native rupee billing instead of paying FX + tax friction on USD-only competitors.

Common thread: serious about both traditional Google SEO AND the new AI search reality, not willing to choose one tool category over the other.

What's the story behind your product?

Citare's answer:

Citare started in 2024 as a single-product AI search measurement tool by founder Ravi Pillai after he noticed that every AI-only competitor was either (a) sales-gated enterprise pricing or (b) missing 1-2 of the 5 major engines. V1 launched in late 2024 and ran in maintenance through early 2026.

V2 (the current product) shipped May 2026 as a complete rebuild: the original Brand Radar measurement pipeline plus a full Ahrefs-class SEO suite bundled into a single subscription. The founding observation was that the SEO market had split โ€” incumbents like Ahrefs had bolted on AI search as an afterthought, while pure-play AI tools had no SEO suite. Buyers ended up running two tools at $1,000+/month. Citare is the integrated product at half the cost.

Built solo, deployed on Cloudflare Workers, INR-native from day one because the founder is Indian and tired of fighting USD pricing for tools he uses every day.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Citare's answer:

  • Next.js 16 (App Router, Turbopack, server actions)
  • TypeScript strict end-to-end
  • Cloudflare Workers via @opennextjs/cloudflare adapter (no Vercel)
  • Cloudflare Browser Rendering for AIO screenshot capture
  • Hyperdrive + Supabase Postgres with Drizzle ORM
  • Cloudflare KV for caching, Cloudflare Queues for fan-out (Bot Analytics, Site Audit)
  • Cloudflare Analytics Engine for first-party Web Analytics (no Google Analytics)
  • Anthropic Claude (Sonnet + Haiku), OpenAI, Google Gemini SDKs for the Brand Radar pipeline
  • DataForSEO for backlinks + keyword + SERP data
  • scrape.do + SerpAPI for SERP fallback
  • OpenPageRank for free authority scores
  • Razorpay (INR) + Paddle (USD globally) for billing
  • Tailwind v4 + shadcn/ui (new-york / zinc)
  • Sanity CMS for guides and blog
  • MCP server exposing 59 tools via Streamable HTTP for Claude Desktop, Cursor, ChatGPT, Windsurf

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Citare's answer:

Citare V2 launched May 2026 and is in the early-customer phase. We're currently onboarding design-partner brands and don't publish customer logos until clients explicitly opt in for case studies.

What we can share: - The founder runs Citare against his own brand (citare.ai) every week as Customer Zero. - The first publicly-discussed audits use famous SaaS brands as instrumentation targets (Notion, Linear) to demonstrate the methodology โ€” see citare.ai/audits/notion and citare.ai/audits/linear.

We'll update this section as design-partner customers go public. Brands interested in being early adopters with full case-study collaboration: reach out at ravir@citare.ai

  • Claude Desktop vs Antigravity 2026: Why I Moved Back
I'm a Chartered Accountant by trade with zero formal coding experience. Iโ€™ve shipped three production AI SaaSโ€”Prism, Citare, and BatchWiseโ€”relying entirely on AI tools. I started with VSCode, moved to Antigravity (when it was just an IDE), and eventually landed on the Claude Desktop App. Claude was incredible; it operated in the background, handled my stack, and I didn't need to know what was happening under the... - Source: dev.to / about 1 month ago
