SolveBar is a free collection of 85+ browser-based tools for developers, crypto users, and everyday tasks โ€” including JSON/XML formatters, hash generators, regex testers, crypto DCA/P&L/staking calculators, PDF editors (merge, split, compress, watermark), image tools (compress, resize, convert formats), and finance calculators (loan, mortgage, ROI, inflation). Every tool runs entirely client-side: files and data are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded to a server, so there's no account to create, no upload limits, and no risk of sensitive data (source code, financial records, crypto wallet details) touching third-party infrastructure. SolveBar is built and maintained by a single developer, Shakeel Ahmed, as a privacy-first alternative to the cloud-upload tool sites that dominate this space.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Smallpdf and SolveBar.

What makes your product unique?

SolveBar's answer:

Every one of SolveBar's 85+ tools runs entirely client-side โ€” files, text, and numbers are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded to a server. That's true for everything from PDF/image editing to crypto calculators, not just a few "privacy mode" tools.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SolveBar's answer:

Most free tool sites (PDF converters, image compressors, crypto calculators) require an upload to their servers or an account to unlock features. SolveBar needs neither โ€” no signup, no file leaves your device, and it covers developer, crypto, PDF, image, finance, and productivity tools in one place instead of bookmarking a dozen separate single-purpose sites.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SolveBar's answer:

Developers and crypto/Web3 users who need quick utilities (JSON formatting, hash generation, DCA/P&L calculators, wallet checks) without trusting sensitive data to a third-party server, plus everyday users doing common PDF, image, or finance tasks who want a fast, no-account tool.

What's the story behind your product?

SolveBar's answer:

Built by a single developer, Shakeel Ahmed, out of frustration with having to upload sensitive files (code, financial data, crypto trade history) to random cloud tools just to run a simple conversion or calculation. SolveBar started as a handful of privacy-first utilities and grew into a full suite spanning developer, crypto, PDF, image, and productivity tools โ€” every one built on the same rule: nothing ever leaves the browser.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SolveBar's answer:

Next.js (React) and TypeScript, deployed on Vercel, with all file/data processing done client-side via browser-native Web APIs (Canvas, File API, local storage) rather than a backend.

Best Free Alternatives to Adobe Acrobat in 2026
Smallpdf is a well-known online PDF platform with a clean interface. It works entirely in the browser and integrates with Google Drive and Dropbox, making it convenient if you store files in the cloud. The free tier limits you to two tasks per hour and adds a watermark on some output files. Files are uploaded to Smallpdf's servers for processing.
Best Online Image Converters in 2026: Docpose.cloud Leads the Pack
Users highlight Docpose.cloudโ€™s reliabilityโ€”no failed conversions even on rare formats. CloudConvert gets praise for quality tweaks but frustrates with daily resets. iLoveIMG is loved for extras like AI, but free limits irk. Smallpdf suits PDF-image hybrids, less pure images. Convertio is straightforward but caps freebies quick.

One of the quickest ways to add images, text, shapes, or your signature to a PDF is with Smallpdf. I find it extremely easy to use for those things, but I opt for one of the editors that top this list if I need to edit the text because this one won't do it for free.
