CommitCat aims to provide a user-friendly graphical interface for Git, making version control more accessible to developers who may find the command line intimidating or cumbersome.
  • Free and Open Source
CommitCat is offered as a free tool, lowering the barrier to entry for individuals and small teams who need a Git client without the cost associated with some commercial alternatives.

Possible disadvantages of CommitCat

CommitCat appears to have limited online presence and user reviews, making it difficult for potential users to assess its reliability, maturity, and long-term viability before adopting it.
  • Uncertain Development Activity
It is unclear how actively CommitCat is being maintained and developed. A tool with infrequent updates may fall behind in compatibility with newer Git features or operating system updates.
  • Lack of Enterprise Features
CommitCat may not offer enterprise-grade features such as team collaboration tools, access control integrations, or support for large-scale repository management that organizations often require.

Yes....but what I tend to do is plan the mission first and have the authorization by the time I arrive to location. On an app level and in a hurry, I'll use AirMap for it - otherwise, I prefer to do it on a PC using Skyward - https://skyward.io/ - I dont use the app as I find it kind of awkward to draw out perimeters. The service is free for the most part, even if the site makes it seem its only trial based. Hope... Source: over 5 years ago
