As answered by people managing Simpro and Opsicom.
Simpro's answer
Simpro combines field service management, job management, project management, asset maintenance, reporting, invoicing, scheduling, dispatching, and mobile field tools in one connected system for the trades. It is positioned as an AI-first operating system for residential and commercial trade businesses, with Simpro Lightning using AI agents, field data, and business intelligence to help reduce admin, protect margins, and scale operations.
Opsicom's answer:
Most tools for real estate media stop at delivery: take the booking, deliver the gallery, done. Opsicom covers the full lifecycle, from a public booking page clients use through scheduling, production workflow, supplier handoff, delivery, payment collection and invoicing into Xero, plus social publishing for the finished work. It was built inside a working media business, so the workflow matches how shoot days actually run.
Simpro's answer
Choose Simpro if you need an end-to-end field service platform built for trade contractors rather than a generic work-management tool. Simpro supports estimating, quoting, scheduling, dispatching, mobile work, job documentation, asset maintenance, invoicing, payments, reporting, business intelligence, customer engagement, and operational growth.
Opsicom's answer:
If you only need bookings and gallery delivery, narrower tools do that well and cost less. Opsicom is for teams currently running three or four separate systems: one for bookings, one for delivery, a spreadsheet for crew scheduling, and accounting software that nothing talks to. A booking becomes a project, a project becomes a delivery, a delivery becomes an invoice, without re-entering anything. It also handles multiple currencies, tax labels and date formats natively, which matters if you operate outside the US.
Simpro's answer
Simpro is built for residential and commercial trade contractors, field service companies, technicians, office teams, operations leaders, and business owners. Core industries include electrical, fire protection, HVAC, plumbing, security, commercial service, residential service, project work, and asset maintenance.
Opsicom's answer:
Real estate media businesses, from solo photographers to studios running multiple crews: photography, video, drone, floor plans and virtual tours, usually delivered to agencies on tight turnarounds. The wider fit is any creative or production team that books jobs, schedules crew, delivers files and invoices for the work. Opsicom supports ten markets including Australia, New Zealand, the UK, US, Canada, Ireland, South Africa, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UAE.
Simpro's answer
Simpro was founded in 2002 after an electrical business owner and a software engineering student set out to build software that worked for the trades in the field and in the office. Today, Simpro is a global AI-first operating system and field service management software platform, led by Chairman and CEO Fred Voccola, and is part of the Simpro Group portfolio with AroFlo, BigChange, and ClockShark.
Opsicom's answer:
Opsicom was built out of a media creation business in Sydney. The problem was the usual one: bookings in one system, crew scheduling in a spreadsheet, files delivered through a third tool, invoices raised by hand, and nothing connected. Rather than keep patching that stack, the whole workflow was rebuilt as one platform, then generalised so other media businesses could run on it.
Simpro's answer
Simpro is a SaaS field service management platform built around connected job, project, asset, customer, reporting, inventory, and field operations workflows. Current product positioning centers on AI agents, field data, business intelligence, mobile field work, scheduling and dispatch, and operational reporting for trade businesses.
