What makes your product unique?

ShotFinder's answer

ShotFinder is built specifically for screenshots rather than treating them like ordinary photos. It creates an on-device OCR index, lets you search by any word, code, price, brand, or address, and automatically sorts results into useful categories. It also turns detected content into actions such as copying a code, opening a link, launching an address in Maps, or using Wi-Fi details. The core experience works offline, requires no account, and uses no product analytics SDK.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Choose ShotFinder if you want a dedicated screenshot library that works across Android 8.0 and newer without depending on a particular phone brand or cloud photo service. Search, automatic categories, everyday smart actions, and basic cleanup are free. Pro adds duplicate cleanup, advanced filters, custom rules, collections, batch actions, and optional AI Enhance for difficult images. Screenshots stay on the device unless you deliberately send one through AI Enhance.

ShotFinder is for Android users who save lots of screenshots and later struggle to find the right one. It is especially useful for people who keep receipts, order numbers, booking confirmations, OTP codes, Wi-Fi passwords, addresses, chats, product pages, and reference material in their gallery. It also suits privacy-conscious users who want offline search without creating an account.

What's the story behind your product?

ShotFinder started with a simple problem: screenshots are easy to save and surprisingly hard to find later. People usually remember a word, store, code, price, or place, not the exact day they captured the image. Optygate built ShotFinder to turn that growing screenshot pile into a searchable, organized library while keeping routine OCR and search on the phone.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ShotFinder's answer

ShotFinder is a native Android app built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose. It uses on-device ML Kit OCR for text recognition, Room for the local searchable index, WorkManager for background indexing, and Google Play Billing for Pro purchases. The optional AI Enhance flow uses Optygate’s backend only when a user explicitly selects one screenshot for enhancement.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

ShotFinder is a consumer Android app, so Optygate does not publish individual users as customer references. It is available directly to Android users through Google Play.
