ShipClip is a native macOS screen recorder built for people who need polished output without a separate video editor. It records your screen, system audio, microphone, and camera as separate tracks, then gives you a timeline editor with automatic zoom-to-click, camera PiP with background removal, annotations, and volume automation.

Key features:

  • Automatic zoom-to-click: Mouse clicks trigger smooth zoom effects. Editable ranges with custom bezier easing curves.
  • Multi-track audio: Mic, system audio, and camera on separate tracks. Mute, solo, and automate volume per track.
  • Camera PiP: Webcam overlay with real-time background removal via Apple Vision framework.
  • Screen styling: Backgrounds, padding, and rounded corners make your recording look like a product video.
  • Annotations: Arrows, rectangles, and text with blur fill, all on the timeline.
  • Shareable links: One-click web sharing with view counts and watch-through analytics.
  • Local export: Export with all effects baked in. Works offline.

Built with Swift, ScreenCaptureKit, AVFoundation, and Metal. Under 5 MB. macOS 14+.

Analysis of Code Flex

Overall verdict

  • I don't have verified, specific information about 'Code Flex' at codeflex.pages.dev, as it appears to be a lesser-known or newly launched site hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and I cannot confirm its legitimacy, content quality, or safety without direct access to browse and verify it.

Why this product is good

  • Cloudflare Pages (.pages.dev) is a free hosting platform, meaning this could be anyone's personal, hobby, or unfinished project rather than an established product
  • No verifiable reviews, reputation data, or track record exists in available knowledge to assess trustworthiness
  • The name suggests it may be a coding practice, tutorial, or developer tool site, but its actual purpose, features, and quality are unconfirmed
  • Sites on free hosting subdomains generally warrant extra caution regarding data privacy and content reliability until proven otherwise

Recommended for

  • Users should independently verify the site by checking for an About page, contact information, HTTPS security, and third-party reviews before use
  • Not recommended for entering sensitive personal or payment information without further verification
  • Best approached with caution until legitimacy and purpose are confirmed through direct inspection or trusted reviews

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ShipClip and Code Flex.

What makes your product unique?

ShipClip's answer

ShipClip is the only native macOS screen recorder that automatically generates zoom-to-click effects from your mouse activity. It records screen, system audio, mic, and camera as separate tracks you can edit independently in a real timeline. Camera PiP includes real-time background removal via Apple Vision. All of this in an app under 5 MB.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ShipClip's answer

Loom gives you raw recordings with no editing. Screen Studio has no web sharing or multi-track audio. OBS is built for streaming, not polished demos. ShipClip handles recording, editing, and sharing in one native app. Zoom effects are automatic, audio tracks are separate, and you can share a link with viewer watch-through analytics. $4.99/mo founder pricing vs Loom at $18/mo.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ShipClip's answer

Freelancers sending polished client demos, developers recording code walkthroughs and PR reviews, product teams creating feature demos and release videos, and designers walking stakeholders through prototypes. Anyone on a Mac who records their screen and wants the output to look professional without opening a video editor.

What's the story behind your product?

ShipClip's answer

ShipClip was built by Ryan at Ligma Digital in Arizona. The idea came from frustration with existing tools: browser-based recorders were sluggish, and native apps either lacked editing or cost too much. ShipClip is built entirely on Apple's native frameworks (ScreenCaptureKit, AVFoundation, Metal, Vision) to be fast, small, and purpose-built for the "record a demo and share it" workflow

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ShipClip's answer

Swift, ScreenCaptureKit (screen and system audio capture), AVFoundation (editing and export), Metal (real-time compositing and rendering), Vision (camera background removal), Sparkle (auto-updates). Backend is .NET 9 on PostgreSQL with Cloudflare R2 for video storage. Frontend is Next.js 16 with React 19.
