SetGrip is a gym workout tracker with no account and no sign-up. Most workout apps require an account and keep your training history on their servers. SetGrip keeps it on your iPhone and syncs only through your own private iCloud, so it works fully offline and there is nothing to sign up for. It ships with 1,100+ exercises, each with an animated video demonstration, and a full Apple Watch app for logging sets from the wrist. There is no social feed, no ads and no leaderboards, and your complete history can be exported as CSV or JSON at any time for free.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Choose SetGrip if you want a private, fast set logger rather than a social fitness network. No account means nothing to create, nothing to leak and nothing that stops working when a server is down. The exercise library is larger than most trackers and every exercise has a video, so you are not guessing from a name. You can edit a workout while it is running: swap, reorder or remove exercises and build supersets without stopping it. The free version has no time limit and includes unlimited workouts and history, the full exercise library, Apple Watch and export. Premium only removes the 3-routine limit and adds detailed statistics.

People who train with weights in a gym and already know what they want to do: they follow their own routine and want to log sets, reps and weight quickly, see their previous numbers and records while training, and keep that history private. It suits both beginners who want a simple journal and experienced lifters who track estimated 1RM, weekly volume per muscle group and plateaus. It is not for people looking for a social feed, generated programs or coaching.

What's the story behind your product?

SetGrip was built by Linas Nutautas, a solo iOS developer, as the workout tracker he wanted for his own training: no account, no feed, real exercise videos and fast logging on iPhone and Apple Watch. He trains with it every week and adds features based on what is missing in his own sessions and on requests from users through the in-app request board. It was released on the App Store in July 2026.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Native iOS and watchOS app written in Swift and SwiftUI. Data is stored on device and mirrored to the user's private iCloud with CloudKit, so there is no SetGrip server. Apple Health (HealthKit) for heart rate, calories and saving workouts, Live Activities for the rest timer on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. The exercise library uses licensed animated demonstrations.
