SYNCDATE is a web application for live two-way Google Calendar synchronization. Connect multiple Google accounts, select which calendars to sync, choose direction (one-way or two-way), and SYNCDATE keeps events aligned automatically in the background.

Key Features

  • Multi-account sync โ€” Connect multiple Google accounts and sync events between any of their calendars
  • One-way or two-way โ€” Flexible direction per sync process, including one-source-to-many-targets
  • Privacy by default โ€” Synced events show as "busy" by default; detailed copying is opt-in
  • Clean exit โ€” Delete a sync and optionally remove all events it created. Reversible and traceable
  • Fast webhook-driven sync โ€” Events propagate within seconds via Google push notifications, with 15-minute polling fallback
  • Recurring events โ€” Full support for recurring event sync with recurrence rules
  • Sync health dashboard โ€” Status, freshness, latency, error summaries, and actionable fix steps at a glance
  • Run history โ€” Per-run stats: created, updated, deleted, skipped, errors

Pricing

  • Free โ€” 2 calendars, 2 accounts, forever free
  • Starter โ€” $1.99/mo (4 accounts, 12 calendars in sync)
  • Pro โ€” $8.99/mo (8 accounts, 30 calendars, priority sync)

Built for professionals juggling multiple Google calendars across work, personal, and side-project accounts.

Outlook support with cross-provider sync - coming soon.

Serverless features and specs

  • Scalability
Serverless architectures can automatically scale up or down based on the traffic, without the need for manual intervention.
  • Cost Efficiency
You only pay for what you use. There are no expenses for idle times because billing is based on the actual amount of resources consumed by your application.
  • Reduced Maintenance
No need to manage, patch, update, or monitor servers. This allows focus on writing code and deploying features.
  • Speed of Development
Serverless platforms provide built-in integration with other services, which makes it quicker to develop and deploy applications.
  • High Availability
Serverless platforms typically offer high availability and fault tolerance out of the box, reducing the risk of downtime.

Possible disadvantages of Serverless

  • Cold Start Latency
Serverless functions can suffer from higher latency during initial invocation or when they havenโ€™t been used for a while.
  • Limited Execution Time
Most serverless platforms impose a maximum execution time limit on functions, which may not be suitable for long-running applications.
  • Vendor Lock-In
Serverless architectures often rely on the specific features and services of a cloud provider, which can make it difficult to switch providers.
  • Complexity in Debugging
Debugging and monitoring serverless applications can be more challenging compared to traditional architectures, due to their distributed and ephemeral nature.
  • Security Concerns
Sharing resources on a serverless platform can introduce security vulnerabilities that must be managed vigilantly.

Analysis of Serverless

Overall verdict

  • Serverless is a good choice for developers who want to focus more on writing code rather than managing servers. It is well-suited for scenarios where scalability, cost-efficiency, and rapid deployment are critical. However, it might not be the best option for applications with high execution duration or complex dependencies that require low-latency network access or specialized hardware.

Why this product is good

  • Serverless (provided by serverless.com) is a popular framework for building applications that leverage serverless architecture, which eliminates the need for server management and minimizes overhead. It allows developers to deploy functions without worrying about the underlying infrastructure, scaling automatically according to demand. This streamlines the deployment process, reduces operational costs, and accelerates development timelines.

Recommended for

  • Startups and small businesses looking to minimize infrastructure costs.
  • Developers focusing on microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Teams needing rapid prototyping and development cycles.
  • Applications with variable workloads and unpredictable traffic patterns.

Analysis of SYNCDATE

Overall verdict

  • SYNCDATE appears to be a useful scheduling and calendar coordination tool for those who need to align availability across multiple people or time zones, though prospective users should verify current features and reliability directly on syncdate.app before committing.

Why this product is good

  • Simplifies coordinating meeting times across different schedules and time zones
  • Aims to reduce the back-and-forth of finding mutually available slots
  • Likely integrates with common calendar platforms for streamlined scheduling
  • Focuses on a clean, purpose-built experience for date and time synchronization

Recommended for

  • Remote teams collaborating across multiple time zones
  • Freelancers and consultants who schedule frequent client meetings
  • Small businesses looking to streamline appointment booking
  • Individuals coordinating events or dates with groups of people

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Serverless and SYNCDATE.

What makes your product unique?

SYNCDATE's answer:

SYNCDATE treats sync as silent infrastructure โ€” it shows proof instead of making promises. Every sync run is logged with stats, every error comes with a deterministic fix step, and every sync can be cleanly reversed with optional event cleanup. Most calendar sync tools are black boxes. SYNCDATE exposes sync health, freshness, and latency so you can verify it's working in seconds, not just hope it is.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SYNCDATE's answer:

A generous free-forever tier (2 accounts, 2 calendars) covers the most common use case at zero cost โ€” competitors start at $4โ€“12/mo. Privacy is the default: synced events show as "busy" unless you opt in to detailed copying. And if you ever want to stop, the Clean Exit flow removes all SYNCDATE-created events from your calendars โ€” no orphaned copies left behind.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SYNCDATE's answer:

  • Professionals managing multiple Google calendars across work, personal, and side-project accounts.
  • Remote workers who need their personal calendar to block time on their work calendar.
  • Freelancers and consultants juggling 3+ client calendars who need availability to stay consistent without manual copying.

What's the story behind your product?

SYNCDATE's answer:

SYNCDATE was born from a real problem: juggling multiple Google accounts and constantly getting double-booked because calendars didn't talk to each other. Existing tools were either expensive for what they offered, opaque about what they were doing, or left orphaned events behind when you stopped using them. SYNCDATE was built to be the sync tool we wanted โ€” minimal, transparent, and safe to turn off.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SYNCDATE's answer:

Next.js (App Router) with TypeScript, PostgreSQL via Drizzle ORM, Redis with BullMQ for background job processing, Google Calendar API with webhook push notifications, and Stripe for billing. Deployed on a Hetzner server behind Cloudflare with a standalone Node.js worker for sync execution. Observability stack uses Grafana, Loki, Prometheus with PagerDuty for alerts.
