Yes it's easy. M1 Mac Mini running SecuritySpy from Ben Software (https://bensoftware.com/securityspy/) with Amcrest Cameras. Really easy, but also not that cheap. Been running that for 10 years (was an Intel Mini and other cameras before). - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
