SeatPlanning is a browser-based seating chart maker for anyone running a seated event — weddings, corporate dinners, conferences, meetings and classrooms.

Build the plan. Drag round or rectangular tables onto a canvas, add rows of seats and areas, and seat your guests. Import a guest list from Excel and map the columns to your own custom fields.

Hand it over. Export a print-ready PDF for the day, or Excel for the venue.

Run the event. Collect RSVPs on a shareable public page, send email invitations, and check guests in at the door with QR codes. Co-editors can work on the same chart in real time.

What it is not. SeatPlanning is deliberately a 2D tool. There is no 3D venue rendering, and there is no sales call or demo to book. If you need a photorealistic room render to sell a venue, this is the wrong tool and we would rather say so.

Pricing. The free tier runs in the browser without an account (1 chart, 5 tables, 40 seats). Event Pass is $29 one-off for a single event. Premium is $39/month, and Professional is $89/month for planners running multiple client events. No annual commitment on any plan.

Available in English, German, French, Spanish and Romanian.

In short: it saves time, prevents errors, and makes the process far less stressful than juggling spreadsheets + design tools + messaging apps.

What's the story behind your product?

SeatPlanning's answer

SeatPlanning was born from the realization that seating charts are one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning. After seeing couples struggle with spreadsheets, last-minute changes, and messy tools, the idea was to build a purpose-built SaaS that turns what feels like chaos into a calm, guided process. It’s made by people who’ve been through event chaos themselves and wanted to create the tool they wished existed at the time.
