I mean I use rectangle, and used spectacle before it, and Iโm very grateful to the developers for maintaining it and making it available for free, but this really should be part of the OS and I will be very happy to get rid of that app after updating to Sequoia. Normal mice support is deliberately broken in macOS (so that you consider buying their Magic Mouse), but can be easily fixed with a 3rd party app like Scroll Reverser. Source: over 2 years ago
Mouse: I believe this requires 3rd party app, if there is MacOS option for that please enlighten me, I have a Logitech mouse and Logitech software has settings for that but there are other, non-brand specific tools e.g. scroll-reverser (available in brew or here), which BTW can also change behavior of the trackpad if you want those options modified in one place.
