ScrapingDuck was born from the classic developer frustration of reinventing the wheel. As software engineers, we repeatedly found ourselves building custom web scrapers for various projects. Each time, we faced the same tedious cycle: setting up headless browsers like Puppeteer, sourcing and managing unreliable proxies, and writing complex code to bypass ever-changing anti-bot measures. We realized we were spending 80% of our time on infrastructure and only 20% on using the actual data. We built ScrapingDuck to be the tool we wished we had - a simple, fire-and-forget API that handles all the messy parts of scraping, finally letting developers focus on building great products with the data they need.
