SafeQL features and specs

  • Type Safety
SafeQL provides type safety by integrating with TypeScript, ensuring that SQL queries are type-checked at compile time. This helps catch errors early and improves code reliability.
  • SQL Injection Prevention
By using parameterized queries and integrating with TypeScript, SafeQL helps prevent SQL injection attacks, enhancing the security of applications.
  • Improved Developer Experience
SafeQL offers a better developer experience by providing autocompletion and type hints for SQL queries within the editor. This makes it easier to write and maintain complex SQL queries.
  • Seamless Integration
SafeQL seamlessly integrates with existing TypeScript projects and can be easily incorporated into popular frameworks and libraries, promoting its adoption.

Possible disadvantages of SafeQL

  • Learning Curve
Developers may encounter a learning curve when first adopting SafeQL, especially if they are not familiar with TypeScript or type-safe practices.
  • Limited Language Support
SafeQL is primarily focused on TypeScript, which means developers using other programming languages might not benefit from its features as much.
  • Dependency Management
Incorporating SafeQL into a project adds another layer of dependencies that need to be managed, which could complicate development for some teams.
  • Performance Overhead
The additional type-checking and compile-time validations introduced by SafeQL might incur some performance overhead during development, although this is generally outweighed by the benefits of increased safety.

However, if you're aim is to go into data analytics you need to go beyond learning syntax and understand edge cases and business context. You should grind on some data analytics/data science focused platforms like stratascratch and interviewquery. They have hundreds of questions with many free ones for your to practice.
