Road Sorties is a route planner for people who love the drive, not just the destination. Most navigation apps optimize for the fastest way from A to B; Road Sorties optimizes for the drive itself. Choose Scenic Roads to wind through the most beautiful landscapes, or Curvy Roads to chase the turns and elevation changes that make driving fun.
Plan a multi-stop trip in seconds. Search for everything you need along the wayโEV charging, fuel, rest areas, campgrounds, RV parks, playgrounds, and scenic lookoutsโand add any place with a single tap. Stops are automatically reordered so your route stays efficient, and you can drag and drop to fine-tune the order yourself.
Compare multiple route options side by side on the map, with distances, travel times, and route characteristics for each. Get detailed turn-by-turn directions, avoid highways or tolls when you want a slower road, and find places to stay along your route without leaving the planner.
When your route is ready, share it with a single link or export it to JSON, GeoJSON, or GPX to use in other apps or load onto your GPS device. Plan from your desktop on the web app, or take it with you on iOS. Whether you're mapping a coast-to-coast road trip or just looking for a more interesting way home, Road Sorties helps you find the route worth driving.
Tripomatic is a trip planning app that helps users create personalized travel itineraries, discover attractions, and organize their trips seamlessly.

Road Sorties's answer
Road Sorties is built around one idea most competitors miss: the route itself is part of the fun. Apps like Google Maps only give you the fastest way from A to B, and trip planners like Roadtrippers focus on points of interest without optimizing the road you actually drive. Road Sorties lets you shape the driveโchoose Scenic or Curvy roadsโand then handles the practical side in the same place: one-tap stops along your route (EV charging, fuel, rest areas, campgrounds, RV parks, scenic lookouts), automatic stop ordering, side-by-side route comparison, lodging search, route sharing, and export to GPX, GeoJSON, or JSON. You get the route character of a driving-enthusiast app, the trip planning of a road-trip app, and developer-friendly exports in one toolโno juggling multiple apps, and no subscription to get started. It works on both the web and iOS.
Road Sorties's answer
Road Sorties is for people who enjoy driving as an experience, not just a way to get somewhere. The core audience is road-trippers and driving enthusiastsโweekend cruisers, motorcyclists, sports-car and convertible owners, and anyone who'll happily take the scenic or curvy road over the fastest one. It also fits travelers planning multi-stop trips who need practical stops along the way, including EV drivers (charging stops), RV and camping travelers (campgrounds and RV parks), and anyone mapping a longer road trip. In short: it's for explorers and enthusiasts who care about the quality of the drive, rather than commuters optimizing for speed.
Road Sorties's answer
My family and I were renting a car and driving from Palisade, CO to Moab, UT. Fortunately, someone mentioned we should get off the highway and take another route into Moab. They said it was a wonderful drive, well worth the extra time if we could spare it. The road was a quiet two- lane highway, the128, which followed the Colorado River as it snakes through the state, carving its way through the red rock. If we hadn't heard about this drive by word of mouth we would have totally missed it. It was then I began wondering why there wasn't a way for people to discover these sorts of experiences on their own. The idea for Road Sorties was born.
Road Sorties's answer
Most route planners optimize for the fastest way from A to B. Road Sorties optimizes for the drive itself. It's one of the few planners that lets you actively choose the character of your route - Scenic Roads for the best landscapes, or Curvy Roads for the turns driving enthusiasts chase - instead of just minimizing time. Those preferences combine with practical trip planning in a single tool: one-tap stops along your route (EV charging, fuel, rest areas, campgrounds, RV parks, scenic lookouts), automatic stop ordering, side-by-side route comparison, lodging search, route sharing, and export to GPX/GeoJSON/JSON for your GPS or other apps. It's purpose-built for road trips and fun drives rather than daily commuting, and it works on both the web and iOS with no friction to get started.
Road Sorties's answer
Road Sorties is a new consumer app, so it doesn't have enterprise customers. Its users are individual road-trippers and driving enthusiastsโweekend drivers, motorcyclists, and travelers planning scenic multi-stop trips on the web and iOS.

I've been using Sygic Travel from the Czech Republic and really like it. It doesn't use Google Maps, but you just press the location on the map, click add, then it autosorts to give you an optimized itinerary (like yours does) and spits out the itinerary. I think your biggest issue is being cost competitive. I paid $7.99 once for Sygic Premium (I think it's $9.99 now), so $19.99/month is an entire tier higher in... Source: almost 4 years ago
