Why you'll love it
Keep content control with non-technical teams while giving developers a stable endpoint they can depend on in production. โ
Non-technical teams who still need reliable live API updates for screens, campaigns, and product details without waiting on engineering sprint cycles. โ
Developers who want a stable endpoint without building client CMS tooling, while still receiving consistent structured JSON they can trust in production. โก
Publish updates in minutes with predictable schema controls, so business teams stay fast and developers avoid brittle one-off content handling layers. โ
Ship one secure endpoint to apps, ads, kiosks, and websites, then update live data centrally without code redeploys across every channel. โ
Not a no-code database platform built for complex relational modeling, table-heavy admin workflows, and broad internal operations management. โ
Not a traditional CMS focused on page rendering, editorial publishing calendars, and content templating for full website management.

Simple Data API's answer:
specifically build for non technical users to control the frequency of their data and updates. Helps developers focus on the project, not the data.
Simple Data API's answer:

Simple Data API's answer:
The primary user is either A.) a non-technical person who needs to ship structured data to their webapp, page, or online tool. Or, B.) a web developer who doesn't need to develop a full CMS solution for a small amount of custom, frequently changing client data.
Simple Data API's answer:
As a webdev, I've built a lot of websites that were bloated with databases and content management just to update a few lines of text a few times a week. This solution give developers and easy to access dynamic endpoint, and keeps the client in control of their structured data in an easy to update form.

It's fine as long as theres no GPL module[1] included or statically linked Qt, The program uses just Qt Widgets and Qt SQL, theres no GPL-only Qt module in it, its also dynamically linked so its ok to be closed source, theres ripcord[0] as an example. I just want to avoid the wave of open source rebranding that will come with AI programming being so easily accessible as theres no respect when theres easy money... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
> And the 'start a thread' nazis Social issues can't be solved by technical means. Just slightly incentivised in some direction (like discord's "this is the third reply, would you like a thread instead?") But for the resource usage, ripcord https://cancel.fm/ripcord/ already proved you can have a capable client which is super light and fast if you care. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
In practice yes. Lots of people developing and using third party clients. Of course it's not ideal with bans and API updates pulling the rug from under you with no warning, but actually not that many people get banned and ripcord (thirdparty client) was working for a long time even after being abandoned. ripcord: https://cancel.fm/ripcord/. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
Discord's first-level support was not willing to reinstate my account, and I had toยฒ track down their head of security on Twitter to get my account reinstated. ยน) https://cancel.fm/ripcord/, no further development since. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
That argument would hold more power if there wasn't an existing native client for Slack and Discord, made by one person, with all the features I needed, working with absolutely no lag and minimal resource use, working on MacOS, Linux, Windows. Unfortunately the development stopped, or I'd still use it. https://cancel.fm/ripcord/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
