Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing ReviewAI.pro and StackTips 2.0.

What makes your product unique?

ReviewAI.pro's answer

Most Amazon review checkers give you a score. ReviewAI gives you a decision. Instead of "Trust: 74%" with no context, ReviewAI returns:

BUY / SKIP / CAUTION verdict โ€” a clear call, not a number to interpret Plain-English reasoning โ€” deal breakers, recurring failure patterns, what the product is actually suited for Persona-based verdicts โ€” the same product gets a different verdict for a Budget Buyer vs. a Durability-Focused buyer. No competitor does this. Risk scoring โ€” four dimensions: Durability Risk, Return Risk, Overhype Risk, Quality Inconsistency Buyer Psychology layer โ€” why people still buy despite objections, and what almost stops them

The category leader (Fakespot, $7M raised) shut down in July 2025 because it had no business model. ReviewAI was built from day one with a freemium model that sustains it.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

ReviewAI.pro's answer

Three reasons: 1. The verdict, not just the score ReviewMeta and NullFake tell you a product scores 61/100. ReviewAI tells you "CAUTION โ€” two documented durability failure clusters after 3 months, not worth it for daily use." One is data. The other is a decision. 2. Persona mode Set your buyer profile โ€” Budget Buyer, Durability Focused, Risk-Averse, Tech Enthusiast, or Gift Buyer โ€” and the AI verdict adapts to what you actually care about. A risk-averse buyer and a budget buyer should not get the same verdict on the same product. 3. It's actually alive Fakespot shut down July 2025. ReviewMeta went offline. TrueStar archived their GitHub 3 months after launching. ReviewAI is live, actively maintained, and has a pricing model that keeps it that way.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

ReviewAI.pro's answer

Three distinct groups: Everyday Amazon shoppers โ€” people who've been burned by fake-reviewed products and want a fast second opinion before checkout. Anyone spending โ‚น500+ / $10+ on Amazon and wanting confidence before buying. Amazon affiliate creators and bloggers โ€” writers producing "Best of" roundups who need to analyze 10โ€“15 products efficiently. They use the Affiliate Content Suite โ€” Persuasive Angles, Honest Objections, Buyer Psychology โ€” to write better product content faster. Price-conscious, research-driven buyers โ€” the r/frugal and r/onlineshopping audience. People who cross-reference Reddit, read 1-star reviews, and hate buyer's remorse. ReviewAI gives them a structured second opinion in 10 seconds instead of 45 minutes.

What's the story behind your product?

ReviewAI.pro's answer

Built by Amin Tai, a solo developer from Vadodara, India. The direct trigger: getting burned by a 4.5-star Amazon product that failed within weeks. The reviews were glowing. The product was not. Forty-five minutes of Reddit cross-referencing after the fact showed the warning signs were all there โ€” buried in the 1-star section. Fakespot existed at the time but gave a letter grade with no explanation. ReviewMeta gave a filtered score. Neither answered the actual question: should I buy this? Amin built ReviewAI to answer that question directly โ€” BUY, SKIP, or CAUTION, with the reasoning behind it. When Fakespot shut down in July 2025 and left millions of users without a replacement, ReviewAI stepped into the gap as the most feature-complete alternative with an actual business model.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

ReviewAI.pro's answer

Frontend: Next.js 14 (App Router), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, Framer Motion Backend / Database: Supabase (PostgreSQL, auth, storage) AI Engine: Claude API (Anthropic) โ€” powers verdict generation, buyer psychology, risk scoring Analytics: PostHog (event tracking, session replay, funnel analysis) Deployment: Vercel Extension: Chrome Extension (Manifest V3)

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

ReviewAI.pro's answer

Early adopters and beta users โ€” 100+ active users, zero paid marketing Amazon shoppers across India and the US discovering the tool through organic search Amazon affiliate bloggers using the Affiliate Content Suite for product research
