Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Replicate.com and 8Dflow.

What makes your product unique?

8Dflow's answer:

8Dflow is focused specifically on the practical quality workflows used by manufacturing teams: 8D reports, non-conformance reports, corrective actions, CARs and SCARs.

Rather than trying to replace an entire enterprise QMS, it provides a focused alternative to spreadsheets, shared documents and email-based follow-up. Records bring together owners, due dates, evidence, root-cause analysis, actions, reviews and closure in one structured workflow.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

8Dflow's answer:

8Dflow is designed for manufacturers that need better control over quality issues without the complexity and cost of a large enterprise QMS.

It offers structured workflows for 8D reports, NCRs, corrective actions, CARs and SCARs, while remaining practical and easy to understand. It is intended to help teams replace disconnected spreadsheets and documents with clearer ownership, evidence, due dates, review and closure.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

8Dflow's answer:

8Dflow is designed primarily for quality managers, quality engineers, supplier-quality professionals and operations teams at small and mid-sized manufacturing companies.

It is particularly relevant to manufacturers that manage customer complaints, product nonconformances, supplier issues, root-cause investigations and corrective actions using spreadsheets, documents and email.

What's the story behind your product?

8Dflow's answer:

8Dflow was founded by Jason Westland, an experienced SaaS founder, to create a practical quality-management product for manufacturers.

The idea behind 8Dflow is straightforward: manufacturing quality teams often manage important 8D reports, NCRs, corrective actions and supplier requests across spreadsheets, Word documents, email and shared folders. 8Dflow is being built to bring those activities into one focused, structured and easier-to-manage workflow.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

8Dflow's answer:

8Dflow’s current web platform is built using Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. Supabase provides backend and database services, and the platform is hosted through Vercel.

These technologies are confirmed in the current website codebase.
