Reglynn turns the EU AI Act into a decision you can act on.

Most founders don't ignore the AI Act โ€” they can't tell whether it applies to them. Finding out costs โ‚ฌ300/hour, and free tools hand you a risk tier with no reasoning behind it.

Reglynn asks 32 questions about what your AI system does, who it affects and how it's governed, then produces a structured gap report against the current text of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689, as amended by the June 2026 Omnibus.

What the report covers

  • Your role in the value chain โ€” provider, deployer, distributor or importer. This decides most of your obligations, and it's the question founders most often answer wrong. Deployers owe Article 26 only: no conformity assessment, no CE marking, no EU database registration.
  • GPAI / Article 53 โ€” whether fine-tuning a foundation model has quietly made you a model provider, and a plain statement when it hasn't.
  • The Article 6(3) exemption โ€” whether a system inside an Annex III high-risk area is actually exempt. Skipping this is why teams budget for conformity assessments they may never owe.
  • Obligations with correct deadlines โ€” dated against the post-Omnibus text, not the pre-Omnibus dates most published guidance still carries.
  • A prioritised fix list, GDPR overlaps, and what you're already doing right.

What it isn't

A structured self-assessment โ€” not certification, not legal advice. Reglynn is not a notified body. The report tells you where you likely stand and exactly what to verify with a qualified advisor, so that conversation starts at question 10 instead of question 1.

How it's made Your answers are analysed by an AI system against Reglynn's own question set and risk logic, then reviewed before delivery. Reglynn is itself a Limited Risk AI system under Article 50, and publishes its own self-assessment at reglynn.eu/our-ai-act-status.

Reglynn.eu features and specs

  • Regulatory Focus
The platform appears to specialize in regulatory compliance topics, which can provide targeted, relevant information for businesses navigating EU regulations.
  • EU-Specific Content
By focusing on the EU market, the site may offer localized insights and updates that are particularly useful for companies operating within or entering the European Union.
  • Potential Niche Expertise
A specialized platform like this could offer deeper, more specific knowledge in its niche compared to broader, general resources.
  • Simplified Access to Information
If well-organized, the site could serve as a centralized resource for regulatory news, updates, or guidance in a single place.
  • Possible Networking Opportunities
Depending on its structure, the site may offer forums, contact options, or partnerships that facilitate connections with regulatory experts or industry peers.
  • Provider vs deployer role analysis
Determines whether the Act's duties are even yours before anything else is assessed. Deployers owe Article 26 only โ€” no conformity assessment, no CE marking.
  • Article 6(3) exemption check
Tests whether a system inside an Annex III high-risk area is actually exempt. Prevents the over-classification that makes most free checkers unusable.

Node.js features and specs

  • Asynchronous and Event-Driven
Node.js uses an asynchronous, non-blocking, and event-driven I/O model, making it efficient and scalable for handling multiple simultaneous connections.
  • JavaScript Everywhere
Developers can use JavaScript for both client-side and server-side programming, providing a unified language environment and better synergy between front-end and back-end development.
  • Large Community and NPM
Node.js has a vibrant community and a rich ecosystem with the Node Package Manager (NPM), which offers thousands of open-source libraries and tools that can be integrated easily into projects.
  • High Performance
Built on the V8 JavaScript engine from Google, Node.js translates JavaScript directly into native machine code, which increases performance and speed.
  • Scalability
Designed with microservices and scalability in mind, Node.js enables easy horizontal scaling across multiple servers.
  • JSON Support
Node.js seamlessly handles JSON, which is a common format for API responses, making it an excellent choice for building RESTful APIs and data-intensive real-time applications.

Possible disadvantages of Node.js

  • Callback Hell
The reliance on callbacks to manage asynchronous operations can lead to deeply nested and difficult-to-read code, commonly referred to as 'Callback Hell'.
  • Not Suitable for CPU-Intensive Tasks
Node.js is optimized for I/O operations and can become inefficient for CPU-intensive tasks, slowing down overall performance due to its single-threaded event loop.
  • Immaturity of Tools
Compared to more established technologies, some Node.js libraries and tools still lack maturity and comprehensive documentation, which can be challenging for developers.
  • Callback and Promise Overheads
Managing asynchronous operations using callbacks or promises can lead to additional complexity and overhead, impacting maintainability and performance if not handled correctly.
  • Fragmented Ecosystem
The fast-paced evolution of Node.js and its ecosystem can lead to fragmentation, with numerous versions and libraries that may not always be compatible with each other.
  • Security Issues
The extensive use of third-party libraries via NPM can introduce security vulnerabilities if not properly managed and updated, making applications more susceptible to attacks.

Analysis of Node.js

Overall verdict

  • Node.js is a popular and effective choice for building a wide range of applications, from small utilities to large-scale enterprise solutions. Its performance, speed, and community support make it a strong option, especially for real-time applications.

Why this product is good

  • Node.js is considered good because it's built on Google Chrome's V8 JavaScript Engine, making it fast and efficient for handling I/O operations. Its event-driven, non-blocking I/O model makes it suitable for building scalable network applications. Additionally, it has a large ecosystem of packages available through npm, allowing developers to find solutions for almost any problem they might encounter.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Reglynn.eu and Node.js.

What makes your product unique?

Reglynn.eu's answer

Three things. It uses the correct post-Omnibus deadlines โ€” most published guidance still carries the pre-June-2026 dates, which tells high-risk providers they're late when they aren't, and tells chatbot builders they have time when they don't. It runs the Article 6(3) exemption check, which almost no free tool does, so it won't tell you you're high-risk when the regulation says otherwise. And it publishes its own AI Act self-assessment, because Reglynn is an AI system under the regulation it assesses.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Reglynn.eu's answer

Free checkers give you a risk tier with no reasoning. Enterprise GRC platforms give you a subscription starting in the tens of thousands. A lawyer gives you an answer at โ‚ฌ300/hour. Reglynn gives you a dated, structured document you can put in front of an enterprise procurement team โ€” once, for โ‚ฌ59.

It also works hard not to over-classify you. The report runs role, then GPAI, then the Article 6(3) exemption, then establishment, in that order, because assigning someone else's obligations to a deployer is what makes these tools useless.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Reglynn.eu's answer

Founders, product managers and operations leads at EU or EU-serving companies with 5โ€“50 people who ship an AI feature โ€” chatbots, generative products, scoring or ranking models, AI-assisted screening. Typically the trigger is an enterprise prospect's legal team asking for their AI Act position in writing, with a deadline attached. Not lawyers, and not enterprises with a compliance department.

What's the story behind your product?

Reglynn.eu's answer

After the June 2026 Omnibus, the coverage said "the EU delayed the AI Act." That's half true, and it's the reassuring half. High-risk obligations moved to December 2027 โ€” but Article 50 transparency duties were never deferred, and regulators gained fining powers on 2 August 2026.

So the group with live obligations right now is precisely the group that read "delayed" and stopped paying attention. Reglynn was built to close that gap for companies that can't put โ‚ฌ300/hour behind finding out.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Reglynn.eu's answer

A static site on Netlify. Assessment through structured forms, with report generation via Anthropic's Claude API against Reglynn's own question set and classification logic. Delivery logging in Airtable. Analytics via GA4 with Consent Mode v2, denied by default.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Reglynn.eu's answer

Reglynn launched in August 2026 and doesn't publish customer names. Buyers are typically 10โ€“50 person AI companies responding to an enterprise procurement or due-diligence request.

  • What's an event loop anyways?
Event loops are a paradigm for processing events different than your typical single-threaded or multi-threaded application. Your request gets broken down into async "events" that are executed in a loop to improve performance and minimize synchronization across threads. It is famously used by Node.js as the backbone of their event processing and also by several other technologies like Redis and Nginx. - Source: dev.to / 2 days ago
