Tools like Anki and Quizlet are great for spaced repetition but do not generate new questions from your own lectures. General AI chat tools can generate questions but do not verify them against a real source or match the SBA exam format most Egyptian and Middle Eastern medical students actually sit. Recall Engine does both. It turns your own lecture material into exam-ready practice in the right format with a source-page citation on every question.

Every question and note Recall Engine generates is traced back to the exact page in your lecture PDF or PowerPoint it came from so you can verify it against your own material instead of trusting a generic answer. It also outputs in the single-best-answer (SBA) format used in Egyptian and Middle Eastern medical exams not just generic multiple choice.

Generic AI chat tools can generate practice questions but they do not match the exact format medical students are tested in and there is no way to verify a question actually came from your own lecture. Recall Engine was built to fix both problems turning a student's own PDF or PowerPoint lecture into SBAs, MCQs, flashcards, and high-yield notes with every answer traced back to its source page. It launched in May 2026 out of Cairo, Egypt.

Flashcards/spaced repetition is a great way to get familiar with concepts and terms for memorization based subjects.
