If you are searching for a rather learning-related tool for โconnected thinkingโ, RemNote is the way to go. In RemNote, you can create spaced repetition flashcards while taking notes with the outlining feature. This is beneficial because the order of your notes will always keep tidied up - You will always have an overview.
Additionally, RemNote adds new features every month. You can use it for Project Management, Note-Taking, or even journaling.
Yes, RemNote is considered a good tool for those who are looking for an all-in-one solution that combines note-taking with an integrated spaced repetition system. Its strengths lie in its ability to link concepts easily, create detailed outlines, and ensure that knowledge is effectively retained over time.
We have collected here some useful links to help you find out if RemNote is good.

Has anybody used remnote.com for IGCSE? If so, how do you use it to make notes/revise? Source: about 3 years ago
Flashcards/spaced repetition is a great way to get familiar with concepts and terms for memorization based subjects. Some apps like Remnote and Quizlet are great since they make you practice concepts you're less familiar with more often and concepts you're more familiar with more often. You could open it up any time you're idle like on the bus too. It'd either require you to make your own flashcards first or get... Source: over 3 years ago
We've found and deployed a workaround; http://remnote.com and syncing are back! Thank you again for your patience. We'll post a final update once the underlying issue from our hosting provider is solved. Source: almost 4 years ago

You can also check out remnote.com, it also has flashcards but it's more advanced than Anki. It's free, with paid premium features. Source: almost 4 years ago

Remnote.io is the best app every student need u.u. Source: over 4 years ago
I was more thinking of ways to use Anki as a sort of notes repository with questions attached. remnote.io is trying to tackle this problem, but I'm not fond of their implementation. I have a lot more faith in Anki maintaining the data integrity of my notes and cards. Also I can easily export my Anki data. It's not silo'd in and been open source is a plus. My actual thoughts, journal and notes on videos, articles etc, go into Remnote. Remnote is fantastic for connecting the dots and discovering existing notes that you never even knew could relate to a topic you're taking notes on. It's fantastic couldn't recommend enough, especially for life long learners as it has a flashcard system too like anki! Source: almost 5 years ago
Anki is an amazing tool I got a lot of use out of and highly recommend. I dabbled in Quizlet for a while which is prettier but features are locked behind a paywall. I moved to remnote.io because they also have spaced repetition and I take notes on other subjects that are more suited to that platform. I just like to have everything in one place which I recognize is not always the best approach. Source: about 5 years ago
Alternatively, there's also remnote.io, roamresearch.com, and my favorite and free option, obsidian.md (/r/ObsidianMD/). These apps all work on any desktop OS. Obsidian/Remnote has options for spaced-repetition should you need it. Source: over 5 years ago
RemNote, an innovative software application designed primarily for educational purposes, has garnered mixed to favorable reviews from its user base. Positioned among note-taking and spaced repetition tools, RemNote competes against well-established platforms like Anki, Obsidian.md, and Roam Research. This analysis distills public sentiment drawn from various product mentions and discussions, with a keen focus on RemNote's unique offerings and areas for improvement.
RemNote's appeal lies in its dual functionality as a note-taking application with integrated spaced repetition capabilities. It empowers users to create structured notes that can seamlessly transform into study flashcards. This feature distinguishes RemNote from traditional tools like Anki, which primarily concentrate on the "Question โก๏ธ Answer" flashcard model. Instead, RemNote accommodates non-linear thinking and knowledge structuring, a nod to its roots as a research project at MIT, as mentioned in several articles.
For individuals seeking an all-in-one educational tool, RemNote's capability to manage notes, reference materials, and flashcards in a singular platform is advantageous. Its non-linear approach and robust linkage features allow users to connect discrete pieces of knowledge, thereby fostering a deeper understanding of subjects. Particularly, lifelong learners and university students have expressed appreciation for these characteristics, citing the software's efficiency in managing complex information systems.
While an array of RemNote users praise the platform for its versatility in academic and personal knowledge management, some concerns persist, particularly around technical reliability. Instances of database errors and syncing challenges have been highlighted in user forums, which emphasize the need for stability in digital tools โ a non-negotiable aspect for users who rely on RemNote for critical study activities or knowledge organization.
Despite these concerns, the development team actively engages with the community, communicating and resolving technical glitches promptly. This is evidenced by updates regarding account migrations and database improvements shared in real-time, reflecting a commitment to enhancing user experience.
In comparison to its competitors, RemNote occupies a unique position with its blended approach to note-taking and spaced repetition. While applications like Anki or Quizlet may offer more basic flashcard-based learning, RemNote excels in providing a more holistic system, a feature that appeals to users looking for a comprehensive educational tool that adapts to more complex learning patterns. However, some users have noted a preference for Anki's open-source nature and the long-term data integrity that comes with it, highlighting the trade-offs users ponder when choosing their preferred tool.
Overall, RemNote receives commendations for its innovative approach to learning and knowledge retention, albeit with room for growth in technical robustness. For users gravitating towards a structured and interconnected method of studying, RemNote stands out as a compelling choice among its contemporaries.
