RemNote - A tool to remember and organize what you learn

We all love the idea of building a "second brain". RemNote has become increasingly popular since the start of 2020. Why? *Because it combines studying with Knowledge Management in a way that hasn't been seen before. *

If you are searching for a rather learning-related tool for “connected thinking”, RemNote is the way to go. In RemNote, you can create spaced repetition flashcards while taking notes with the outlining feature. This is beneficial because the order of your notes will always keep tidied up - You will always have an overview.

Additionally, RemNote adds new features every month. You can use it for Project Management, Note-Taking, or even journaling.

🏁 Competitors: Roam Research, Obsidian.md, Logseq
👍 Pros:    Free basic plan|Quick response time from developers|Combines note-taking with spaced repetition|Outlining|Spaced repetition feature
    👎 Cons:    Ocassional bugs|Seems complicated/complex at first

Has anybody used remnote.com for IGCSE? If so, how do you use it to make notes/revise? Source: 10 months ago
  • Any effective study tips that don’t take up your whole day? Especially for midterm season.
Flashcards/spaced repetition is a great way to get familiar with concepts and terms for memorization based subjects. Some apps like Remnote and Quizlet are great since they make you practice concepts you're less familiar with more often and concepts you're more familiar with more often. You could open it up any time you're idle like on the bus too. It'd either require you to make your own flashcards first or get... Source: over 1 year ago
  • Remnote error message!
We've found and deployed a workaround; http://remnote.com and syncing are back! Thank you again for your patience. We'll post a final update once the underlying issue from our hosting provider is solved. Source: over 1 year ago

  • What is the best way of note-taking? Like, is there a certain "note-taking system" that you've devised that works well for you?
I use RemNote, but "my" framework is tool-agnostic:. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I have some spare time at my job and don't want to waste it just scrolling, ideas?
You can also check out remnote.com, it also has flashcards but it's more advanced than Anki. It's free, with paid premium features. Source: over 1 year ago

  • How to easily update notes across multiple cards?
I was more thinking of ways to use Anki as a sort of notes repository with questions attached. remnote.io is trying to tackle this problem, but I'm not fond of their implementation. I have a lot more faith in Anki maintaining the data integrity of my notes and cards. Also I can easily export my Anki data. It's not silo'd in and been open source is a plus. • What is in your (phone’s) notes?
My actual thoughts, journal and notes on videos, articles etc, go into Remnote. Remnote is fantastic for connecting the dots and discovering existing notes that you never even knew could relate to a topic you're taking notes on. It's fantastic couldn't recommend enough, especially for life long learners as it has a flashcard system too like anki! Source: over 2 years ago
  • Using Netflix's subtitles to understand Native Spanish speakers faster
Anki is an amazing tool I got a lot of use out of and highly recommend. I dabbled in Quizlet for a while which is prettier but features are locked behind a paywall. I moved to remnote.io because they also have spaced repetition and I take notes on other subjects that are more suited to that platform. I just like to have everything in one place which I recognize is not always the best approach. Source: almost 3 years ago

Alternatively, there's also remnote.io, roamresearch.com, and my favorite and free option, obsidian.md (/r/ObsidianMD/). These apps all work on any desktop OS. Obsidian/Remnote has options for spaced-repetition should you need it. Source: about 3 years ago

10 Best Anki Alternatives 2022
RemNote adopts a more structured way of learning. For starters, the app is a note-taking app first, and the flashcard feature is secondary. This means that you can take well-organized notes and then convert them into effective flashcards if you need to.
