In the application we built for the client we had two modal instances, the filtering modal (that used the native modal) and an alert modal (where we used UI Kitten's modal). If you understand all that and just want to get started as quickly as possible, use a project generator such as cookiecutter-django or API Bakery. Note that I'd avoid using these until you have a solid grasp of Django otherwise you'll have no idea what's going on. Source: about 3 years ago
