Next/previous stays near-instant even on large RAW files (including Canon, Sony, Nikon, etc), because it reads the embedded preview instead of fully decoding every raw. It's a focused viewer and culling tool, not a heavy all-in-one suite.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

FlashView's answer:

It's fast on large shoots and it's a one-time purchase with no subscription โ€” unlike suites that moved to monthly plans. You get instant browsing, rating and flagging for culling, and XMP sidecars that Lightroom and Capture One read back โ€” no ads, no tracking, no forced cloud account. FlashView's answer:

FlashView began as a personal tool โ€” a photographer frustrated that existing viewers crawled when pointed at folders of tens of thousands of RAWs. The goal was a viewer that feels instant on modern hardware: aggressive prefetching, embedded-preview decoding, and a clean keyboard-driven interface. It grew into a product for other photographers with the same problem.

.NET 8 and WPF on Windows, with Windows Imaging Component (WIC) for decoding, Direct3D-accelerated rendering, and multi-threaded prefetching and caching for low-latency browsing.
