FXProof is a B2B SaaS for creating signed, verifiable proof documents from official exchange-rate data.

For each supported dataset and date, FXProof keeps the official source, rate context, document ID, payload hash, digital signature, and public verification path together in a reusable proof bundle. The resulting PDF can be stored with an invoice, expense, accounting entry, tax file, audit workpaper, or internal-control record, so the exchange rate can be reviewed later without rebuilding the evidence trail.

Supported official sources currently include the European Central Bank, HMRC, the Federal Reserve System, the Bank of Canada, and the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

Key capabilities include:

  • Signed exchange-rate proof PDFs
  • Public verification using the document ID and payload hash
  • Current and historical official exchange-rate datasets
  • Reusable proof bundles
  • Source attribution and verification metadata
  • Dataset-first API for workflow automation
  • Free Basic plan for occasional proof needs

Users can inspect public proof samples, verify supported documents without an account, retrieve ready proof bundles through the web application, and automate supported workflows through the API.

FXProof does not provide currency exchange, payment, money-transfer, trading, investment, legal, tax, or accounting services. Official institutions remain the sources of the underlying reference rates; FXProof provides the proof document and evidence workflow around those data.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Qualys and FXProof.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

FXProof's answer:

FXProof is intended for:

  • Accounting and finance teams
  • Bookkeepers and accounting practices
  • Tax advisers and tax-preparation teams
  • Auditors
  • Compliance and internal-control teams
  • Small businesses with international transactions
  • Freelancers and independent consultants
  • Fintech and accounting software providers
  • Developers automating exchange-rate evidence workflows

The common requirement is a repeatable way to document and later verify the official exchange rate used in an invoice, expense, accounting entry, tax file, audit workpaper, or internal review.

What's the story behind your product?

FXProof's answer:

FXProof was created to solve a practical evidence problem. Official exchange rates are usually available, but businesses often have to collect the supporting evidence manually by saving webpages, copying values into spreadsheets, taking screenshots, or rebuilding the source trail months later.

These methods are difficult to reproduce and can leave a weak audit trail. FXProof was designed to connect the official source, date, exchange-rate context, signed PDF, document ID, payload hash, and verification process in one consistent workflow. The goal is to make an exchange-rate record easier to store, explain, share, and verify when it is reviewed later.

What makes your product unique?

FXProof's answer:

FXProof does not simply provide an exchange rate. It creates a signed, verifiable proof document that preserves the official source, dataset, date, document ID, payload hash, signature status, and verification details in one reusable evidence bundle. A recipient can later verify the proof through a public verification page. This makes FXProof suitable for accounting, tax, audit, compliance, internal-control, and dispute-review records where the rate must remain explainable and verifiable over time.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

FXProof's answer:

Most exchange-rate services focus on displaying rates, converting currencies, or providing raw API data. FXProof is designed for situations where a business must document which official rate was used and provide evidence that can be reviewed later.

Users receive a signed proof PDF, source attribution, verification metadata, and a public verification path. Previously accessed proof bundles can be reused and downloaded again, while the API allows the same evidence workflow to be automated. FXProof is therefore a better fit when the required result is not merely a rate, but a verifiable business record.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

FXProof's answer:

FXProof does not currently publish customer names. As a recently launched service, it will only identify customers publicly after receiving their permission.
