Quackr stands out by offering a seamless bridge between free public access and premium private security. Unlike many competitors that rely solely on low quality VoIP numbers (which are often blocked), Quackr provides Private Non-VoIP Numbers sourced from real SIM cards. This ensures high deliverability rates for strict services like Tinder, Gmail, and Banking apps, giving users a level of reliability that standard free sites cannot match.
GhostMyData's answer:
We cover 1,500+ data broker sites โ 3.5x more than Incogni and 17x more than DeleteMe's auto-removal. We send legally-enforceable CCPA deletion requests, not just opt-out forms. And we publish a live broker compliance report showing which brokers actually delete your data and which ignore requests.

Quackr is built on a robust cloud infrastructure designed for speed and security. We utilize advanced telecommunications APIs to bridge real world SIM networks with our digital dashboard, ensuring near instant SMS delivery. Our frontend uses modern frameworks (like React/Next.js) to ensure a fast, responsive experience on both mobile and desktop.
GhostMyData's answer:
Next.js, React, TypeScript, Prisma ORM, PostgreSQL, Vercel, Resend for transactional email, Amazon SES for broker CCPA emails, Google and Brave Search APIs for exposure detection.
quackr's answer
Quackr started with a simple mission to stop SMS spam. We realized that requiring a personal phone number for every minor sign-up was a privacy risk. What began as a free tool to protect users from telemarketers has evolved into a comprehensive privacy platform, helping thousands of users globally verify accounts securely without exposing their real identity.
GhostMyData's answer:
I discovered my full name, home address, phone numbers, and family members' details were publicly listed on hundreds of people-search sites โ available to anyone for under a dollar. After spending 40+ hours manually submitting opt-out forms, I realized the data just comes back. So I built GhostMyData to automate the entire process.

Our primary audience consists of privacy conscious professionals, digital marketers, and cybersecurity enthusiasts. This includes social media managers managing multiple accounts, developers testing authentication flows, and individuals who want to secure their personal data against data breaches. They are users who value their digital footprint and are willing to invest in secure, private verification methods.
GhostMyData's answer:
Privacy-conscious individuals and families who want their personal data removed from people-search sites and data brokers. Also businesses protecting employees from social engineering attacks that exploit exposed personal data.

Competitors often provide recycled, spam filled numbers that fail verification checks. Users choose Quackr because we offer guaranteed privacy. With our paid rental option, users get a dedicated number that is theirs alone no shared messages, no interference. We combine the ease of a "one click" free service with the professional reliability of a paid private line, giving users the best of both worlds.
GhostMyData's answer:
More coverage (1,500+ brokers), lower price ($9.99/mo vs $14.98 for Incogni), free scan with 3 free trial removals (no credit card), family plans covering 5 members, and transparent compliance reporting. We also use dual search engines (Google + Brave) to find exposures competitors miss.
GhostMyData's answer:
I built GhostMyData because I was tired of finding my personal information โ home address, phone numbers, family members โ plastered across dozens of data broker sites. After trying other services, I realized most only cover a fraction of brokers and charge premium prices for basic scans. GhostMyData scans 1,500+ data broker sites, sends legally-backed CCPA deletion requests on your behalf, and tracks every removal to completion. The automated removal pipeline handles everything from opt-out form submissions to verification that your data was actually taken down. We also offer family plans so you can protect your entire household under one subscription, and our daily privacy digest keeps you informed without email overload. The whole platform is designed around transparency โ you see exactly what was found, what's been removed, and what's still in progress.

I'm also curious because it seems like using a phone with no strings attached today seems almost impossible unless you get an actually old phone, which either works poorly or costs a lot as part of a retro collection or something. Even my iPhone 4S doesn't work if I boot it up, and that came out last decade. Of course, in terms of using a number for making a new account or subscription of sorts, one could still be... You can also take this poll over at bettor edge, and whichever team gets the most votes, will get an extra 5k donated to their respective charity (the loser will still get a 1k donation). So if you are so inclined, head over there and vote for the huskers and Team Jack. Right now we're losing 65% to 35% to the gophers on who should get the extra donation so vote if you can! Note they ask for a phone number to... Source: almost 3 years ago
To be very frank, I was also thinking that another reason people tend to use Whatsapp is that itโs not really tied to any actual account as in the case of iCloud, right? Itโs just a phone number thatโs required, and so if you want to stay private, or just log in with a fake account, you can use a free phone number for verification, just as you would do with some disposable temporary mail when you want to log in to... While searching for another way out, I stumbled upon a service called quackr.io. It claims to provide temporary phone numbers for registration confirmation purposes. Using fake numbers for app verification is quite tempting, and I read that it's a savior when it comes to website registration. Still, I'm unsure if it's worth the effort because I also read many claiming that temporary phone numbers don't work with... Source: about 3 years ago
