Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

Preptics 6 features
LC
Lobby Code 4 features
  • Score band and ranking
Section and total bands with stated confidence, every attempt charted as a band rather than a point, per-skill loss analysis, skill estimates shown as ranges, pacing against the real module clocks, a routing map, an error profile, a written debrief, and your rank this season. The bands stay deliberately wide until there are enough real responses to narrow them honestly, and the calibration check exists so that narrowing can be earned rather than announced.
  • Adaptive mock exams
Adaptive routing between modules, per-module clocks held on our server, the 10-minute break, module-locked navigation, and every tool the real test gives you including a graphing calculator. What is missing is the QUESTIONS. A full adaptive form needs six panels of verified items and we publish a form only when every panel is full
  • Dynamic Lessons and drills
Live, and the largest finished thing on the platform: 30 skills, a micro-lesson each, answer-to-unlock recall, skill estimates shown as ranges, spaced review, drills that explain why each question was picked, and highlight-to-explain throughout. The honest gap is review the lessons have passed automated gates but have not been read end to end by a second human.
  • Dynamic Study plan
The survey, the scheduling, the daily budget and the realism verdict all work, and the plan rearranges itself whenever your skill estimates change after drills, lessons and sittings alike. The one thing it cannot schedule yet is a full mock, because no mock is published those slot into the plan on the day the question bank lands, with no change needed here.
  • AI study help
The mock debrief and highlight-to-explain both work today, on DeepSeek V4 Flash run by zero-data-retention hosts through OpenRouter fast enough that an answer arrives before you have finished re-reading the sentence with a hard per-account budget consumed before any request leaves. The larger tutor, one that can see your attempts and cite the explanations already written for your track, is not built. The search index it will need exists; the tutor is deliberately later than the budget and privacy rules that have to hold it up.
  • Leaderboards & seasons
Rankings only count attempts sat under consistent conditions we would rather have a small honest leaderboard than a large meaningless one.
  • User-Friendly Interface
Lobby Code offers a simple and intuitive user interface that makes it easy for users to navigate and utilize its features without a steep learning curve.
  • Efficient Collaboration
The platform is designed to enhance collaboration among team members through features like real-time editing and communication tools.
  • Integration Capabilities
Lobby Code supports integration with various third-party services and tools, allowing users to streamline their workflows and improve productivity.
  • Customizable Workspaces
Users can customize their workspaces to better suit their project needs, enhancing flexibility and personalization of the working environment.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Offline Access
The platform has limited functionality when used offline, requiring an internet connection for most of its features to work effectively.
  • Pricing
Some users may find the pricing model of Lobby Code to be less competitive compared to other alternatives in the market, especially for smaller teams or individual users.
  • Integration Complexity
While Lobby Code offers integration options, setting them up can sometimes be complex and may require technical expertise or support.
  • Feature Overload
Some users might feel overwhelmed by the sheer number of features and options available, potentially complicating the user experience for those who prefer simpler tools.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Preptics and Lobby Code.

What makes your product unique?

Preptics's answer

Preptics sets itself apart through its advanced behavioral telemetry. Instead of just marking answers right or wrong, the platform tracks real-time micro-behaviors during practice exams—such as how you distribute your time, when you hesitate, and how you use the test's tools. It feeds this granular data into proprietary AI algorithms to dynamically update your lessons and targeted drills on the fly.

Additionally, Preptics moves away from static learning by offering draggable, interactive simulations (like widgets that let you physically manipulate slope and intercept in math problems) and provides an honest "score band" with stated confidence levels rather than guessing a single exact score.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Preptics's answer

Preptics directly addresses the "what next?" problem left by major competitors. As the site states: "Bluebook administers a test. Khan Academy teaches a course. Neither one tells you what to do tomorrow morning."

You should choose Preptics if you want:

  • Actionable Daily Plans: It takes your adaptive mock exam data and builds a customized daily plan sized perfectly to the actual study hours you have available.
  • Affordability: It aims to replace $150/hour private tutors with a highly accessible price point ($9.99 for a 3-month pass).
  • High-Quality, Verified Questions: Every AI-generated question is solved "blind" by multiple AI models that never see the answer key. Anything ambiguous is automatically discarded before a student ever sees it.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Preptics's answer

The primary audience consists of high school students preparing for the Digital SAT who want a structured, highly efficient study routine. It is designed for students who struggle with knowing exactly what to study on a day-to-day basis, as well as self-driven learners looking for a premium, data-driven prep experience without the steep cost of a traditional private tutor.

What's the story behind your product?

Preptics's answer

Preptics is a brand-new educational startup built entirely around transparency and a disdain for industry guesswork. The founders are taking a radically honest approach to their launch. They publicly document their scoring methodology and openly refuse to post fake reviews to build hype, noting on their site: "We are new, and we would rather show you nothing than show you something we wrote ourselves." Their mission is to provide an "honest score" and a practical study roadmap rather than just selling test prep.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Preptics's answer

Because Preptics is a brand-new platform, they do not have large enterprise clients or a massive established user base to show off yet. Currently, their most important customers are a group of 50+ early beta testers who are actively using the platform to prep for the Digital SAT and helping the developers refine the system.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Preptics's answer

The primary technologies used to build Preptics integrate to form a modern, AI-driven web ecosystem. Here is how that specific stack powers the platform's features:

  • Next.js & Supabase: Serve as the core infrastructure. Next.js handles the dynamic application logic and routing, while Supabase provides the backend database and user management needed to track test sessions, store adaptive exam data, and manage accounts.
  • TailwindCSS & ShadCN: Power the frontend user interface. They provide the styling and component framework necessary to build the responsive study dashboards and the interactive, draggable simulations used in the skill drills.
  • Umami: Drives the platform's advanced behavioral telemetry. It acts as the analytics engine that captures granular, real-time data—such as time distribution, user hesitation, and specific tool usage during the mocks.
  • OpenRouter, DeepSeek, & OpenAI: Fuel the AI engines. These machine learning models and routing platforms provide the backend intelligence required to generate original questions, verify them blind, isolate knowledge gaps, and dynamically update personalized study plans.
